Hotel with history and character.situated in centre of Downpatrick.. Stayed two nights. Friendly staff and tasty food. Excellent Bar service

Nothing. The most modern rooms are a short walk from the main accommodation, but not a problem for us.

The Tyrella apartment was perfect for our needs.

the ambience, the friendliness of the staff, the fine, big room (Room 1), the informality, the history, the personality of the place, the food.

An armchair would have been better than the straightbacked chair in the bedroom. Black and white pudding would have made a very good breakfast perfect.

Good selection of breakfast options. Late breakfast was a wonderful option, 11am. Fresh food, good quality.

Very convenient as we were attending Bishopscourt for Vintage Bike show. Rooms have all we needed for 2 overnight stays & good value for money. Breakfast was very good & we had meals from bar/dining room menu over our 2 days which was excellent quality & very enjoyable. Staff were very friendly & helpful.

As we stayed on a Friday & Saturday & our room was in main part of hotel,above entertainment area, was enjoyed by many residents but loud if you wanted an early night. We are of an age to opt for earlier to bed but not bothered by sound of others having a good night. There are rooms available further from bar or outside area, so might be worth trying one of these rooms if not wishing to join in or cannot stand any noise.
