Hidden Monkey Backpackers, Railway Station, Darjeeling

Forward and fantastic stay.

It has a great vibe, beautiful views, tasty tea, and amazing people! Vishal especially took very good care of everyone. The room is spacious and has a cosy feel thanks to the bookshelf and "green room" . I loved hearing the prayer calls from the nearby mosque, too. I'll stay there again on my next visit for sure!

It's a little chilly during the colder nights but I got a second blanket and there's a kettle for making hot water and tea.

Hidden Monkey is a hidden gem in the bustling town of Darjeeling ... This is my first stay in Darjeeling and it was quite a jackpot, finding the perfect stay in Hidden Monkey in the town ... Blessed with a perfect view of the hills and hill plantations, I recommend Hidden Monkey to anyone visiting the hill station to relax and chill ... 5 ⭐ to Hidden Monkey ...

Very helpful owner accompanied me to and from the property and carried my bag. I had a whole dormitory to myself. Very comfortable bed. There might be a lovely view in better weather but we were in a cloud and couldn’t see anything.

The steep path to the hostel would have been a challenge without the help of the owner.

Had a good stay. The rooms were clean and well maintained and the hosts were very friendly, they gave me useful tips and helped with arranging tours. Overall had a great time here!

Neat and clean, well managed. The washroom was also very clean. Overall, I felt comfortable and warm which I don't usually feel in other hostels. The person managing the homestay is also very helpful and kind.

The location is the downside here. One needs to climb up and down the host of stairs to reach the main road and then again walk around a kilometre or more to reach the Mall. I had to catch a jeep at around 5 am in the morning when it was pitch dark, and with luggage and dogs all around, I wished at that time that the location could have been better.
