One shower tricky to work

Dirty bed sheets, terrible smell (it’s above a Greggs), no hot water in the hand basin in our bedroom. All a bit tired.

Great location and lots of space in the apartment. Owner replied swiftly to my messages.

We have found molded bread in the kitchen, dishwasher was out of order and the appartmentdoor was really hard to lock and unlock.

The location was brilliant to get around anywhere on public transport.

Terrible, fishy and oily smell inside. It was supposed to be a penthouse, but there was nothing luxurious about it. The flat was dirty, with stained carpets and sofas, old toothpaste on the sink, bag of melted ice in the fridge, broken dishwasher and broken locks in the bathroom and in the front door! It was visible there were amateurish attempts to fix the locks in the past, but with no success. When going out we had to leave the front door unlocked as we didn’t have time to seek help before the show we booked earlier on. Also, there was a bright emergency light in our bedroom which stayed on all night. The light in the flat’s hall kept flashing like in some bad horror movie. Prior to booking we got bombarded with messages from the property demanding our payment details. As we’ve already paid through the Booking.com I contacted the website and was advised to ignore the demands and not to send any card details. When I checked it, it turned out the property was trying to charge us extra £35 on the side, saying it was “a deposit “, but no refundable! I’ve been using Booking.com for over a decade and I’ve never seen anything like that.

The apartment was great & clean and great location for us to get about would stay here again thanks

This accommodation is an excellent location right in the middle of the city centre. On first impressions it is a large living space with two bedrooms and three bathrooms.

Unfortunately this accommodation is not a "Penthouse". It feels like it has been well used but not really looked after and unfortunately is showing its age. The walls require re-painting and it was not very clean. The showers also were not clean or worked as you would expect them to. The clincher, for us, was that there was no blind on one of the bedroom windows (no curtain either). The broken blind was left in the bedroom. I did contact the owner who did attempt to rectify this but could not fix it for our stay. As a result we moved to a hotel as it was impossible to get a sleep without the blind. To date no refund has been advised or received.
