Maison Boheme - La Manzana Panama

El mobiliario y facilidades del estudio están en óptimas condiciones, aunque podrían incluir las instrucciones de uso para el caso de algunos electrodomésticos. El tamaño es apropiado incluso para dos personas, así que en ese aspecto estuve muy cómodo. Es verdad que está bastante cerca del casco viejo, no obstante, no se puede negar que se encuentra en una zona conflictiva, insalubre e insegura (por lo menos de noche). De hecho, el mismo alojamiento explica en su mensaje de bienvenida "When walking out we strongly suggest to ONLY head left towards plaza Santa Ana" (al salir caminando, te sugerimos encarecidamente que te dirijas ÚNICAMENTE hacia la izquierda, en dirección a la Plaza Santa Ana.) Pero también es cierto que de día no hay ningún problema en caminar por las calles pero siempre evitando ir hacia la derecha en dirección contraria a la Plaza de Santa Ana.

Lo peor es esa ridícula política de facilitar al huésped los datos del apartahotel el día de su llegada. Solicité HASTA 2 VECES esa información cuando aún estaba en Madrid. All llegar a La Manzana, tardé casi una hora en poder acceder por fin al apartamento. ¿Por qué? Porque yo no podía ver la información que se me había enviado sin tener acceso a internet. Me enviaron la información cuando yo estaba cruzando el atlántico. Cuando llegué al aeropuerto no tenía acceso a internet, me fui directamente a La Manzana y ahí me encuentro con un escenario esperpéntico: El vigilante que estaba ahí no sabía nada de mí, me buscaba y buscaba en una lista que tenía en una tablet y no me encontraba. Me preguntó por el número del apartamento y, claro, yo no lo tenía. Tampoco sabía yo el código del ascensor, el de la caja de llaves, ni el wifi, ni la contraseña, NADA!!! Insisto, por no saber, no sabía ni siquiera el número del apartamento y encima, el vigilante, con toda la buena intención, "interpretó" un número que estaba en la confirmación de reserva como el código tanto para el ascensor como para la caja de llaves, ya que ese número estaba identificado en la reserva como "código PIN" y él, sin pensárselo, me dijo que era el código para acceder al ascensor y al apartamento. Y claro, con ese número no accedía ni al ascensor ni menos podía abrir la caja de llaves después de varios intentos infructuosos. Por cierto, caja de llaves que tan poco era de fácil apertura. Al final, buscando, buscando, el vigilante encontró mi nombre en su lista y se puso en contacto con la administradora que luego nos pasó los códigos correctos. En total fue un VERDADERO DESASTRE ese primer día y el acceso a los códigos. SUGERENCIA: manden esa información tan completita que dan el mismo día de la llegada un día antes, muchos de los que llegamos venimos con una diferencia de 7 horas, aterrizamos sin una SIM que nos permita acceder a Internet y nos vemos esa información.

The instructions were very clear. Nice location and friendly doormen. The place was well equipped and very clean. We enjoyed our stay!

The property was easy to locate, walkable to Casco Viejo- groceries, sites, shopping. The bed was comfortable and there was a lot of space. The owner made the place very homey, including offering board games. The amenities were great. Not much of a view but we were out enjoying Panama City most all day so it didn’t bother us. It was really nice to have multiple kitchen appliances, cooking utensils, and a safe. The place provides 24 hour security and the security personnel were friendly and helpful. There are also other quaint facilities in the bottom units - a cafe, art store.

The apartment itself is beautiful and comfortable. It had everything we needed including washing machine and a safe box. The area is loud on weekends but the apartment is well insulated so we had no trouble sleeping. The location is good. It’s on the edge of old town in an area that is still developing. It looks rough in places but we never felt unsafe and experienced non problems whatsoever. We walked from the apartment to the cinta costera, San Felipe market, metro station and all over Casco Viejo. Good local restaurants, supermarkets and bakeries are nearby and there’s a nice coffee shop in the courtyard. We would stay again.

Accessibility to Casco Viejo was excellent and a supermarket a short-block away. Fast internet access (I measured 400 Mbps up and down), large TV, decently appointed kitchen. Security measures for the property were good as well. 24-hour guard at the gate, and coded elevator to the floor where the stay is located. Decent coffee shop in the courtyard.

The sliders to the balcony didn't open, I think it was off the track. The nightly party in the courtyard was loud until about 9:00-10:00.

We loved our stay at La Manzana. The apartment was spotless and had everything and more that you could ever possibly need. The location was perfect, just a couple mins walk outside of Casco Viejo which is great to give you perspective of the real Panama City outside of the super tourist area. I didn't feel unsafe, found the locals to be very friendly. There is security at reception also. Great value for money, super spacious. Host was lovely and allowed us to check in early. Highly recommend.

Our apartment was perfectly located for an authentic local experience, just minutes on foot from popular markets and fantastic restaurants. The space was exceptionally clean and well-equipped with thoughtful amenities, including a nearly full-size fridge, microwave, five-burner cooktop, washer with drying rack, iron, reusable shopping bags, dishes, coded safe, utensils, a mini coffee pot, a yoga mat and block, extra linens, and an abundance of towels and washcloths. We were worried about access to hot water after reading other reviews. Fortunately, this was not an issue for us as we had plenty of hot water in the spacious walk-in shower and enjoyed excellent air conditioning throughout our stay. Additional features like a large dressing mirror. TV, and a lovely balcony added to the comfort. While there was no real view, we were close enough to so many things it did not bother us at all. Security was top-notch, with a dedicated team posted downstairs at all times. They were not only reassuring but also incredibly kind and helpful. A sweet orange-and-white cat often visited, making us feel even more at home. Communication with our hosts was smooth, though we unfortunately missed our final email with exit instructions—our apologies for that! Overall, our experience was absolutely fabulous, and we highly recommend this place. Our stay from March 19–24, 2025, was nothing short of wonderful. We were on the top floor room 22.

Motion lights went off too soon in the hall, and we didn't like leaving the cat behind. So all in all, no complaints. We loved it!!

Everything about the property was great! Staff was friendly and helpful. The location is perfect to walk around to great restaurants, shopping and museums. If you do have a car there is a parking lot. Walking is more convenient in my opinion. On the weekend they had a market open in the courtyard and one of the nights they had a movie and popcorn. Great community experience. The room was clean and had all the necessities. It was a very wonderful experience and we wished we could have stayed longer!

Loved everything!

Small, functional, quiet, very clean studio close to Casco Viejo. Extremely friendly service helps with every question or problem immediately. All equipment is new. Will come back!

Not for the overly anxious, you walk a tiny part of the way through a somewhat dingy area, but it's completely safe. (And If you're a light sleeper like me, You might also bring a sleeping mask, as the temperature display of the air conditioning system shines very brightly at night and can't be deactivated. Or some tape to stick over it)
