R Hotels Inn Hokkaido Asahikawa

Very helpful front staff. They kept our bags before check-in as we went around the city to do things. They even put them in our room for us as we returned a bit later then expected. The room was quite small but big enough for sleeping, clean and comfortable. Very close to the train station and bus center. Good value.

The hotel was very cosy, clean and perfectly located a few minutes walk from central train and bus stations. The room was very small but had everything you might need, very practical and comfy. Unlike what we read on former reviews, there was an ac that worked perfectly

The mattress was very hard

I stayed in twin room, the size of bed is larger than standard single bed in Japan which is great. This is probably the only positive side of this hotel. There's a renowned ramen restaurant nearby, a good option for breakfast/lunch.

Easily see mold on bathroom walls (see photos), doesn't feel a pleasent experience in this hotel. The receiptionist do not speak English at all.

Friendly. Arcade games in lobby were fun. Coffee machine in lobby is a definite plus. Laundry machines!

Toilet had some problems. Hallway looked like a war zone starting at 10 am in the morning, an hour before checkout.
