Shepherds Hut in enclosed field

Rural location - no road or traffic noise (just resident wildlife!), cosy interior, well equipped with forethought like fresh dairy products provided, and a coffee machine which was a lovely surprise. Logs provided for log burner, owner was friendly and helpful on arrival, can’t fault the price, location, and amenities provided. We’re very likely to book again in the summer and take our dog this time to take advantage of the large paddock that the hut is situated in!

The hut itself was lovely, shower was great and the bed was super comfy. Hosts seem nice but didn’t meet them or have much contact.

All dishes were unwashed upon arrival, used dirty socks down the end of the bed and lots of dust. I suffer with dust allergies and had severe sneezing fits and hayfever like symptoms during my entire stay. Hut was also unbearably and uncomfortably cold the first night but warmed up by the first morning. We also arrived 3 hours after our check in time and had still not received any check in information or key codes and there’s 0 signal at this location so struggled to contact the hosts to find this and were stuck outside in the rain and dark for a while trying to figure it out!

The location was close it shops and towns but also secluded. The host was amazing and helpful about where to go for certain things.

The hut wasn't particularly clean as there were small hairs in the shower high up, the bathroom sink was visable dirty , there were cobwebs and it was not convenient to have to go down stairs ans up some just to get to the other hut to use the toilet in the photos it looked all connected. This was especially inconvenient as the weather was terrible. It took hours for the hut to warm up after arrival as the heating wasn't on prior to us arriving.

The place was cozy, clean and beautiful. The field was perfect for our little corgi to run around in!

Absolute amazing hidden treasure with fantastic hosts. The most beautiful and peaceful location perfect for dogs.

Having to go home

Decor - retro, comfy, vinyl record player. Fluffy blankets, log burner, fire pit outside, whole paddock for the dog. The shower was fab. Sound of owls hooting at night. Sitting on the veranda with a glass of rose as the sun went down. The welcoming goodies.

Nothing - it was an amazing find and good value

What a lovely place to stay. Very quirky, we really enjoyed the peacefulness of the area. Enjoyed evenings relaxing with music, reading by the log burner glowing away. So cozy and only a few miles to beautiful beaches.

Everything about our weekend was excellent, definitely going back
