Sue Pa Family Trekking Homestay

Staying at this homestay was one of the best parts about trip to Sapa! The family was incredibly welcoming, making me feel at home from the moment I arrived. The surroundings were breathtaking, with stunning views and incredible hiking trails right at the doorstep. Each day started with a delicious breakfast, and the home-cooked dinners were some of the best meals I had in Vietnam—fresh, flavorful, and made with love. If you're looking for an authentic and warm experience in Sapa, this is the perfect place.

Amazing food, great hikes and lovely people

Sue is the super host! She guided trekking tour for us, her husband took our lugages, went to home and we walked trough interesting landscapes. She prepared delicious dinner, breakfast and share haapy water water with us. It's also very quite place, so great for sleeping after noisy Hanoi. Highly recommended if you want to experience the authentic culture.

There were two women hiking with us for 2-3 hours and then tried to sell some bags for 3 time higher price than they cost on the market. We didn't buy, and it made atmosphere little bit unpleasent, but at the end overall experience was good.

Sue was a really good host, I really enjoyed her cooking (she cooks a lot so you definitely won't go hungry) and she can take you on some really nice hikes. The location is really nice and very peaceful overlooking some rice paddies. She also met me when I got off the bus and helped organise a lift to hers.

A bit of transparency of prices its 70k per day for breakfast and dinner I feel like this should just be included in the price of the room, and a days hike costs 300K

Beautiful location a bit away from the main street, surrounded by rice fields, local farms, and nature. Mama Sue is really friendly an welcoming. She offered us free dinner and drinking happy water with her, exchanging stories. We had nice pancakes with mango and banana as breakfast. Some rooms are quite small but totally okay and they have a mosquito net over the bed. Would totally recommend this homestay, it felt really like home. We stayed unfortunately only one night on our two night hike from Sapa. For that purpose the homestay is located perfectly.

This is a home-stay in the truest sense, you eat and hike with Mama Sue's lovely family. Highly recommended if you want to experience the live of the Hmong people and explore the mountain area.

If you are looking for luxury - this is not the place. Hot showers, a fan in the (small) room and a warm blanked have to suffice. For us well worth the experience!

Everything was perfect, family is lovely and available, we shared a lot of moments with them. The place is quiet and peaceful. It was a great and unique experience. I fully recommend it 100%, if you want to discover culture ethnic family far away from SAPA busy and noisy City that’s the place you have to be !
