Chue&larry's Beachside Homestay

The view of the sea from the room is lovely. You can see high tide from the sitting area at night and if you watch it at about 4 or 5 in the morning you will see the water receed. The staff are all lovely. So so nice we always go back when we can.

No tv in cabin.

The place exceed our expectations, me and my partner had a great stay at Chue&Larry Beach side Home stay. The host is super friendly and welcoming. Will definitely come back.

Hosts were very friendly and informative about local things to see and visit.

Car parking arrangements were a little confusing.

We were on a 23 day road trip, and stayed at different hotels/locations every night and on every trip there are always places that stand out from the rest, and on this trip Chue and Larry's was definitely the best. We travel around many places, and sad though it is, the reality is that most places we won't return to, as we venture elsewhere, however just occasionally we stay at places and when we leave I really feel the longing to return, and this is one of those. Chue and Larry are the owners, and were really friendly approachable people, sharing their stories and inquisitive about ours, while playing and entertaining our baby and toddler also! The location is just stunning, looking out over the Sogod Bay, with the peninsular in the background. The rooms sit raised up giving the impression of being perched up in a tree house, wrapped by tropical trees, looking out of the mirror like sea, with crystal clear water full of fish. The room was full of life and character, with a real personal feel, while also giving you the feeling it was your room, rather than being within someone else's home. The location is slightly back from the road, and as you walk down a small path from the parking area there are a few other houses, a small shop and a basket ball court near by, which all gave a true feeling of being within a community, rather than being within a resort area. The bed was perfect, the room was perfect, and the AC and Fan's worked well, with the little kitchen and eating area being super helpful and cosy also. But if you've read all the above compliments and haven't yet been won over, then hear me out. Chue and Larry have gone and had a stunning wooden jetty built going maybe 100 feet out into the water, with a shaded multi level seating/hammock area towards the end, and next to this, 2 diving boards (one at each floor height) and a rope swing. I will rate this place 11 out of 10.

There is absolutely nothing at all to dislike about this place!

The comfort-level and view were outstanding. The place has a very homey feel. Also, if you like balot you're in for a treat. You can buy it about 15 metres away.

There was some construction noise at the time of my stay, and of course, the usual barking dogs and crowing roosters. The location is a bit out of the way, but if you have your own transport it's not an issue.

Chue and Larry are truly amazing! The Property has the most amazing view and it's the perfect place to rest but also the ideal starting point to go on a Whale shark escursion. Clean, with Beautiful scenery and many option for local food not far away or to be delivered. What else would you need?

The room was fantastic it had everything you needed and was super clean. The location was amazing. Waking up every morning and looking out across the bay was incredible. Chu and Larry were awesome and went above and beyond to help us whenever we needed assistance or to organise something. Honestly, the nicest place we stayed in the Philippines, couldn't recommend this Homestay enough
