Egypt Mill Hotel and Restaurant

Breakfast was excellent

Breakfast on the 1st day an hour wait.

Everything was so pleasant that you didn't want to leave and visit anywhere local whilst there.

nothing.

Beautiful location (we knew this anyway but enhanced by lovely weather in the evening), really friendly and helpful staff, great food, good choices for dinner and breakfast.

No facial tissues in the bedroom (I have numerous allergies). Smoking areas need to be more segregated (slightly impacted our meal outside). Lots of stairs, absolutely no good for people with mobility issues.

The staff were truly exceptional. Our room was clean, comfortable and beautifully finished. The bathroom was simply wonderful - anyone who enjoys bathing will be very happy here!

Only tiny criticisms, the garden was closed for a wedding. The description / advert states it’s a wedding venue and there might be some additional noise. No mention, that I saw, that the garden / areas of hotel could be closed. On a hot summers day closing the garden preventing us from sitting outside by the river was a little bit hard to take. Fortunately the team who work at the Egypt Mill are so lovely, Freya especially, it didn’t really matter. Smoking area should be moved. It was directly under bedroom windows.
