Redhill Town Centre Garden Flat

Logement bien équipé, et propre dans l'ensemble. Petit jardin agréable. Facile a trouver et explication claire. Accès au commerce rapide.

Great place. The host was great and very friendly. Everything on the apartment was as described. Very nave neighbourhood. Close to train and bus station.

For starters, the location was perfect. It was less than 10 minutes away from the train station, and close to the center of Redhill. The apartment had everything you could need: a hairdryer, a hair straightener, shampoos, towels, extra bedding for the sofa, kitchen appliances, coffee, tea and sugar, a vacuum cleaner, a rack, a smart tv… and even some books and toys in case you had children coming with you. Rena was lovely: we asked if we could have an early check in, to which she answered fast and affirmatively. Also, the instructions about how to get to the apartment were clear and easy. It’s true that it’s a bit hidden, but to get to de key you just have to go to the back of the building and go down some stairs. I didn’t find it hard at all. Once you have the keys, you can use de garden door, which is right in front of one of Redhill’s main streets. If I go back to Redhill, no doubt I’ll be staying at Rena’s apartment again.

If you are not from the UK, and also not familiar with the way their doors open and close, it might happen to you what happened to us: we couldn’t close the door. To do so, you have to pull the handle up while turning the key, both at the same time. Anyways, it had nothing to do with the apartment not being nice, but with us not knowing how these British doors work. I only mention it here in case it happens to you too.

location was ok

I specified that I couldn't use stairs and wanted none on the property but when I got there I had to go down a narrow brick staircase and then the step up into the property is rather high and there are 2 steps in the middle of the flat. I was able to use a back gate but even there I had 3 steps. The photo on booking.com is misleading, they show a front door on the flat but in fact it is not like that at all.

Room had a bit of a smell from moisture. I aired it out every day when i got back from a day out.

The property was clean and spacious and had everything required for a self contained stay. Location was good.

We had our trip booked for around 10 months with parking. However for our arrival we were asked to park in the local carpark 5 minutes away (host paid though). The allocated car park space was given to another customer who had only just booked their stay a couple of days before their arrival. We was very upset with this. Also there was ants in the kitchen on the work tops and bin area. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable and towels were discoloured and stained. We left a night early due to disappointment.
