The Annexe at Riverside Cottage

Heerlijk rustig midden in de natuur. Warm ontvangst door de eigenaars en hun diertjes, lekkere eitjes van de kippen. Een ruime cottage waar alles was wat je nodig had.

Niets. Alles was perfect.

Our two four year old grandsons had a ball. Bouncing on the trampoline, zipping on the wire. Helping with the animals (or so they thought) Jo and Mark couldn’t do enough for you. A truly rural idyll .

The location is something out of a fairy tale! We were held by the nature symphony where the water stream harmonised the natural flow of existence and the surrounding trees amplified the chant of the soft winds. The animals presence gave it a sublime grounding environment and the hosts are extraordinary human beings that reinforced this extraordinary experience.

Riverside Cottage was a wonderful place to stay. We got warm welcome from Jo and Mark, the accommodation and facilities were first class.

Nothing.

Relaxing stay in a beautiful cottage with our 6 year old son. Jo and Mark were brilliant hosts and they did everything to make our stay enjoyable and unforgettable. We loved the tranquility of the place, the fun packed activities on the site including feeding animals in the morning and again after our daily outings; treading in the river, watching the parachute and the Apache Helicopters flying over while relaxing in the garden. It's a perfect place to explore the Blackdown Hills and it's only 10 min away to have a hiking at the Iron Age site Hembury Fort where we admired the ancient beech tree, had great fun climbing the slopes. The cottage is also very convenient to visit different beaches with a 30 minutes drive. Forgot the say that the welcome pack from the cottage chicken were such a bonus! Our son said he loved the house as it has lots of toys, he loved the place as it was really quiet, he loved the animals and the playing facilities in the garden, and 'oh I like the owners as well!' Thank you!

Jo and Mark were so welcoming and helpful. The cottage was excellent clean and tidy with everything you would need. The setting was stunning full of nature and very relaxing.

We loved everything about our stay. It was all just so perfect! The cottage was beautifully decorated with everything you could possibly want. The location was stunning and ideal for our family trips to the coast. It was like staying in a fairytale with nature all around. Jo and Mark were amazing hosts and couldn’t have done any more for us and all the animals were the icing on the cake. Thank you so much! 🙏🏼
