We arranged pickup from the airport on our arrival (an extra $28 fee) and one of the owners, Domenico, himself came to fetch us. Domenico and Rey were incredibly warm, friendly, and gracious hosts - Domenico even gave us some great insider tips about for some lesser-known attractions in the city. The rooms are beautifully furnished with a highly personal feel, very comfortable (with strong air conditioning!), and perfectly clean, and the common areas of the hotel are very stylish and welcoming - the place really has the feel of an indie boutique hotel. The premises have a private, locked gate (to which you are given your own key so you can come and go as you please), which makes everything feel extra safe. And the sweet golden retriever Brienne who greets you at the door is the absolute highlight of it all!

These are very trivial things and by no means detracted from our stay: I could see it being really difficult to locate the front/entrance of the property if you don't already know where it is (we didn't have this issue since the host brought us to the hotel from the airport himself). The entrance is an unmarked, nondescript locked black gate on a street with a few other private properties - it took me a few outings to remember which gate was the hotel's. The lock on the front gate is also a bit sticky/fiddly and you have to really jiggle the key just right to lock/unlock it, which was a bit cumbersome when coming and going. There are not very many shops or restaurants in the immediate neighborhood.

The whole house and garden is amazing. Everything is decorated with love, every detail is perfect. The bed is huge and I slept really well as it is wonderful quiet at night. The area felt really safe and close to restaurants and bars.

Beautiful room, not your basic hotel. The decor is relaxing and stands out. I will stay again when I return to Panama.
