The accommodation was clean and well appointed. We were made to feel very welcome.

We were welcomed into Michelle’s home. She was so friendly and helpful. Lovely room and bathroom. The complementary breakfast was excellent. Great location too

Very thin walls and little privacy. No showering after 10pm. Having to leave room to get to the bathroom. Having to leave the room unlocked when not there. No locks on outside room door.

The place is very nice, exceptionally clean, and well-maintained. The owner pays attention to the smallest details. For us, it was an ideal base for exploring Cornwall, particularly close to the beautiful Marazion and St Michael's Mount. The bathroom is very nice and spacious. The owner is incredibly friendly and ensures that guests feel comfortable in her place. Various sweet pastries (e.g., warm cinnamon rolls) were added to breakfast daily. Important: this is neither a positive nor a negative point, just information – breakfasts are ONLY sweet, so if someone prefers savoury options, it’s best to stock up on ready-made options from nearby supermarkets. I would add that the price is very attractive (considering the standard), especially compared to nearby places.

I'll note at the outset that the downsides are minor; they did not make us want to change place and did not affect our overall rating (8/10, which is a high score). This is solely our opinion: The biggest downside for us was the inability to lock the room when going out. I understand that renting a room is based on mutual trust, but what trust can I have in people from other rooms? Especially since my partner is a photographer, so we had a lot of expensive equipment. Therefore, leaving the room without being able to lock it was a drawback for us. Another downside (but a small one) is the fact that the bathroom is separate. It is my fault for not reading thoroughly that "private" does not mean en-suite. I felt somewhat uncomfortable walking in my pyjamas down the corridor (the distance is very short). Another small downside - no possibility to check in (even for an additional fee) after 10 pm. I understand everyone sets their own rules, but it simply stressed us out that, having a very long journey ahead, we might not make it in time. As you can see, these are small downsides that did not significantly affect the comfort of our stay.

The location was ideal for us. The property was extremely nice and very clean. The complimentary continental breakfast was lovely and more than sufficient. The room was a good size with plenty of storage but not ensuite. However, the personal bathroom facility just down the landing was excellent. The host, Michelle, was great, very friendly, and helpful.

We found the mattress a little uncomfortable, but for a few days, this wouldn't be a show stopper. Would prefer the en suite bedroom, but again, having personal use of the separate family bathroom wasn't a problem apart from not wanting to disturb other guests and hosts.
