SOLE DI DIANA LUXURY Apartments

Very nice apartment and Yulia was a very attentive host when we complained/ needed assistance. We had an issue with the power in the apartment after a power cut and she managed to get an electrician to sort on a Sunday evening which was very much appreciated

We were advised that early check in was possible however the day before we were told that it had to be cleaned so would not be available before advertised check in time.. Unfortunately when we arrived at the advertised time (4pm) the apartment was not clean. There were Spiders and cobwebs everywhere (and clearly had been there for some time) The blind in the bathroom was very dirty and had obviously not been opened/cleaned. The balconies, other than the main balcony, were similar. My daughter refused to sleep in her room on the first night due to the number of spiders. The host response was that "they live there" which is true but we cleaned our daughters room and none returned the rest of the week we stayed there. The host did come and clean the rest of the rooms when we complained and similarly the rest of the rooms remained spider clear for the duration of our holiday. Bottom line, the apartment was not cleaned properly for our arrival which was disappointing given the reviews about cleanliness. The pool is very nice but again lacked attention, too many days it was surrounded by bird droppings both in and around the pool. It was only cleaned once in the week that we were there sadly. There were also boards over the tiles on the entrance and there was a dead lizard there the whole week which shows the lack of attention. The pool showers didn't work nor did the foot pool on entrance. For a "luxury" penthouse apartment this was simply not good enough. The air conditioning is also completely inadequate for the apartment. There is one unit in the mezzanine but the two main bedrooms were way too warm. We were supplied with fans but the adverised underfloor cooling is non existent. When we arrived we were told to park on the street despite the advertised "private" parking.

We loved our stay at Sole Di Diana. The apartment was spacious for a holiday rental, well equipped, clean, with high quality fixtures and fittings. The pool was stunning, one of the best we've experienced on holiday, and the pool was quiet, so we often had it to ourselves. The terrace was large, and comfortable. Yulia was responsive and friendly, and provided lots of useful information. The location is great, a little out of town with a small number of local restaurants, but easy enough to access the lake or walk or drive into the main part of town.

We liked everything about it. No complaints at all. However, as expected for a self-catering apartment, we had to purchase some everyday basics such as toilet paper, tea towels, bin bags, hand soap, dishwasher tablets etc. Having a few of these small things provided would have been an added luxury.

The location and the surroundings

The fact that there was building work going on right above our heads and we were not informed prior to our visit this ruined the first 3 to 4 days of our holiday, but we were recompensed for it after Putting in a complaint booking.com.

Yulia our host was exceptional. She met us at our apartment outside of check in hours. The apartment was 2km walk from peschiera centre but the walk was beautiful along the lake with some restaurants along the way. It was a fantastic base for our family. Our apartment had all the mod cons and was exceptionally clean. Our balcony overlooked the pool, and the lake and was in a quiet area which suited us perfectly. Yulia whatsapped me so much information re places to eat ect and provided us with 2 bikes which was great for sire seeing.

Couldn't fault anything

Very clean, spacious, modern & well equipped appartment. We stayed in the penthouse apartment. View was amazing! 2 bathrooms was an added bouns as we were a family of 5. The host Yulia was so accommodating and very efficient with all our questions. We arrived very late (1am) and she kindly met us and facilitated a very late check in. Car parking and 2 bicycles also and added advantage to this beautiful place!

Further out of from Pescheria that I had anticipated but plenty of supermarkets/restaurants and coffee/pastry shops close by.
