Aplanty Nest amidst the Orchard

Beautifully refurbished apple store on a working apple farm. Been created to a very high standard, using quality sanitaryware, cabinets and appliances. Wonderful views of acre upon acre of orchards. Everything worked splendidly, with the TV being completely 'Smart', without terrestrial aerial originated channels. Host was very responsive to any questions or requests.

Personal observations, unique to me - I found the bed mattress very uncomfortable, as with the sofa. The wifi was occasionally erratic, which was unfortunate if you were trying to watch something on TV. The allocated parking seemed a bit arbitrary, though probably due to another guest being a bit cheeky. Being nearly 6', I found getting up the wrought metal spiral stairs without catching my head required concentration and shoe retention. I would have perhaps oriented the bed differently to give more room above the pillow end of the bed - much easier for getting in and out of the bed.

The location was lovely our little dog Meg loved it.

It was lovely but a dustpan and brush would have been great as we were treading grass all over the apartment.

Loved location & modern interior.. Good amenities including ev charging by prior arrangement. Car parking

Spiral staircase could be an issue for some also limited headroom above your head once upstairs.

Comfy and convenient,clean

A big issue was that there was no blind on the velux window in bedroom - very hard to sleep in mid summer. We had to put our own clothing over it but not ideal and still woken up early after a late wedding

I like the unique features, such as the real potted plants and hanging baskets, as well as the staircase that leads into the bedroom. It’s well equipped, with a comfortable and big solid bed, and very cosy. The outside area in the apple tree orchard was beautiful.

I felt that it was a bit cold, especially downstairs, and the heater on the wall took time to warm up. I had a bit of a problem with the parking, as the dedicated parking area was taken by others on a few occasions, so I ended up parking elsewhere. I would recommend putting some blinds on the skylight window in the bedroom; it was super bright in the early hours. Additionally, some areas in the house were covered in webs.

It was clean. Nice orchards for a dog walk. That's about the only good things 😞

Not pet friendly at all! No cleaning stuff as in mop/bucket brush etc when property is based somewhere extremely muddy so you can't even keep floors clean, property door opens straight onto dirt track no garden no enclosed space at all for dogs. Spiral staircase unsafe unless you are hobbit height! (Watch your head) No hot water in bathroom sink so have to wash in the kitchen! Bed position to the far corner so you are less that 30cm from the roof/ceiling laying down! No blind over window in bedroom. Very very cold absolute ice box not warm enough with 1 silly heater in a wall in a barn conversion this size. No heating in bathroom radiator disconnected = freezing! Would not stay here again.
