Saint Johns Hill Boutique Ephesus

We had a wonderful stay at this accommodation near Ephesus. The place was spotless clean, the bedrooms were amazing, and the bedsheets were of very good quality, with all the amenities we needed thoughtfully provided. The host was extremely friendly and welcoming, and knowing we would arrive late, he kindly left fruits and water for us, which was a lovely touch. The location was also excellent, close to attractions and shops, making everything very convenient. We truly enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend this place.

This is simply an amazing small hotel - a true hidden gem! Beautiful both inside and out and the photos really don’t capture the charm of this place. We stayed in the apartments with a huge terrace which is a bonus in itself. In warm weather you will want to spend all your time there, enjoying the comfort and the stunning view of the Selçuk Fortress which is literally just an arm’s length away. The terrace also features a very well-equipped kitchen with everything you might need. The apartments themselves are very clean, spacious, beautifully decorated and cozy. The host is wonderful, we received such a warm and welcoming reception. Everything you might need is within walking distance including shops and restaurants. A special mention goes to a fantastic, very simple and authentic fish restaurant nearby - ask the host for the location, it’s an absolute must-visit. Highly recommended! We will definitely be back and would love to stay longer next time.

While the location was good it you can hear some cars move during the night.

The best location you can ask for in Selcuk, the owner and his family are so friendly and they can arrange tour, transfer and recommend places to eat. We have the top floor with the terrace, view of the castle was fantastic, having some wine in the afternoon to wait for sunset before dinner was relaxing.

Nothing

Everything is superb about this tastefully designed and furnished hotel with apartments with full kitchens, washing machines and great showers in the ensuite bathrooms. Almost all apartments have a balcony overlooking the ruins of a Roman aqueduct, st johns basilica and the ottoman fort. Storks nest across the road if you are there between March and September! The owners are a lovely family who go out of their way to help and ensure you have the best stay. Don't miss the experience.

That we couldn't stay longer!

The pictures don't do it justice! The rooms are beautiful (the other apartments were not occupied so the owner allowed us to peek in each room), so well designed. They've actually thought about what a guest might need during their stay and provided it. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was nice and modern with no strange smells common to other places we've stayed. The kitchen was nice to cook in with everything you need, the couch was comfortable. We loved the balcony and the view. And the owners, 2 brothers who have a shop on the ground floor, felt like family by the time we left. The town is lovely but we also just enjoyed relaxing in this beautiful property. I can't recommend it highly enough!

Honestly, everything was great! Maybe just some things to be aware of- the apartment is on the 1st floor (one above street level) with no elevator. Not a problem for us, I like not being on the street! And the balcony is kind of shared with the neighboring apartment, though they do a good job of separating it and I don't think you'd even be able to see anyone if you were both using the patio. As I said, we loved our time here and would return in a heartbeat!

The apartment was absolutely wonderful - clean and comfortable with everything I needed for my stay, with a lovely balcony to while away evenings. The location was perfect - close to everything, with loads of shops and great restaurants within very easy walking distance. Best of all - the owner is incredible! Very friendly and kind, he have me lots of tips on what to do, and we shared more than one cup of tea during my stay. If you're looking for a warm welcome and local insight into Selcuk, this is the place to stay!

Beautiful accommodations, nicely decorated, in a quiet location with a large balcony. Our host Enis was very friendly with many recommendations for restaurants, and places to see. It’s located close to the local bus station making it very easy to visit Ephesus and neighbouring towns. We had considered renting a car but it was easier to take the local busses.
