"A really good 5 star hotel in a brilliant city"

Raj apartments were really big and well equipped. Loads of amenities and well placed for restaurants etc

Very little. Being picky we had to ask on several mornings for cutlery at breakfast

"A beautiful hotel, great staff and location, but a big big big let down by the check in process and my second helping!"

Fantastic room, staff, location and clean. Breakfast was good at the Mint, however, the Indian vegetarian food could be better. Staff very attentive.

I booked via booking.com noting the confirmed check in time of 2pm and advising my approximate arrival time. Upon arrival I was informed the official check in time is 3pm and it’s wrong on booking.com. I had to wait for 45 minutes after 3pm before I was able to go to my room. This is my second experience of this unsatisfactory service. There should be clarification as to the exact check in time and none of this sloppy service from a 5 star hotel. MORE IMPORTANTLY HAVE THE ROOM READY AT THE CHECK IN TIME STATED. No door handle to close the shower door from the inside. Washing machine had too many functions and complicated to use. No USB ports in the bedrooms, (one in the living room didn’t work) Sink tap in the kitchen felt it was ready to come off its fixings.

Very good variety for breakfast Very good restaurant and bar in the hotel

The apartment is in urgent need of renovation- the coffee table was broken, sofa could be cleaner, lampshades and tables scratched etc. There was a lot of confusion with reception because the apartment is privately owned - more communication of this ahead of time and better knowledge by the reception about what was arranged would be useful. Eg. We were charged many things on our bill that the apartment owner said was free, we were overcharged for breakfast. So we had to spend a lot of time sending emails to the manager for proof of what had been agreed etc.
