Courtyard by Marriott Flint Grand Blanc

The air conditioner appeared new and worked well. The pillows and towels were nice and comfortable. The people at the front desk were nice and very knowledgeable but the air conditioning was not keeping up and they looked so tired and uncomfortable. They were handling the situation with grace.

1. mattress was worn and broken down. Very uncomfortable and unlike any Mariott property we have been to. 2. the furniture was old and had finish broken off. Table was unstable and bowed from extended use. 3. The draperies were worn, dirty and torn. 4. The tub area was clean except under the built-in soap dish was mold.

I enjoyed how late the pool was open and also how early the pool opened.

I didn’t like that the breakfast was a “restaurant style” and you had to pay extra for that.

Couldn’t find the complementary breakfast and almost $4 for a coffee is a bit much

It was quit at night.

The air conditioner in the room did not work. Nobody came to look at it. Paid the extra for the $10 discount for breakfast. When I went to order breakfast the girl which was very rude said she had no idea how to give the discount. That was $20 wasted. The pool water was freezing. Patrons asked to turn up the temp. Never happened.

Room 337 was disgusting. The bathtub had a very dark ring around it. I scrubbed it myself with a washcloth and soap before showering. In the morning, there was a roach on the wall, which the front desk kindly sent somebody up to remove from the room (before i thought to snap a pic). The red chair at the desk was filthy. Besides the nasty looking stains on the chair, there was dried food and bug exoskeletons trapped in the crease of the chair. I mean, how long does one go without vacuuming a hotel chair for that to be there? The curtains are dingy and the towels are worn and thin. The bed was actually pretty comfy, but this was the first and last stay here for me.

Peaceful, you cannot hear the other guests in their rooms like other hotels. And we didnt get no complaints about the kids. The rooms are big and the view is gorgeous. We loved the courtyard access from our room.

The pool wasn't clean but that could just be the time we stayed. I didnt like that my room did not have a fridge like most standard rooms. And our booking on booking.com said breakfast was an additional $10, but when we went to eat, they charged extra for each item and the prices were high.
