Great rental and definitely a destination vacation a must see. We loved the culture and how they have preserved the past. Easy ferry rides to several towns around Lake Como. Will definitely recommend.

For the most part it was good overall. Perfect location when it comes to being close to everything. (Ferries, restaurants, small grocery store & attractions) Hot water, use it wisely. Will run out quick. Bring towels if you need more then one per person. There is two set only. Washer is good but no dryer. Will have to hang clothes outside for it to dry. Do not leave it in the room. Will take 2 days to dry. Trust me. But otherwise, it was a very safe location.

Cobwebs hanging from the ceiling over the bed. Terrible bathroom. Bad lighting. No welcome book or instructions. Called host they said they would call me back but never did.

Nice location, private, quiet, roomy, view of the beautiful lake.

We liked the property. Getting there upon arrival took some time. I knew there were detailed instructions on how to get entry into the apartment, but did not take screen shots of all the steps. And the code was sent last minute. We had no wifi at the train station and struggled to figure out what to do. Finally, a waiter at the cafe at the train station was able to help us with wifi and we were able to access the information. The cab driver even took a few minutes to find it.

The location was very good, close to everything and also close to the station, restaurants and all that you need

The door between the two connecting apartments is not very private, you can hear every word from next door. The light front the small window is also challenging to sleep with as it does not have a proper curtain. The electricity also trips and you may not have power for a day

A great location in the heart of Varenna, but quiet like an oasis from the crowds. It was very cosy and private and we enjoyed being able to cook with all the facilities and having our own garden was lovely. I also made good use of the artist pencils and paper there.

We had a few problems with electrics, lights and plugs not working, but the letting agent were very quick and helpful and sent an electrician to help. The shower was old and small, really it needs updating. There was no proper curtain on a street facing window so we had to hang a towel there each night.

Beautiful studio apartment located close to restaurants and wonderful Lake Como. Very comfortable bed and nice little table and chairs for two outside with the lake view.

The shower was too small. There was no tray to hold soap and the liquid soap provided was on the floor of the shower which I could only physically reach by stepping outside the shower first. Also, we were subjected to a phishing attempt by hackers who got inside “Wonderful Italy’s” firewall on the secure.booking.com website. We were warned (by hackers) that we had 4 hours to provide new bank information and take a link for payment or our reservation the next day would be cancelled. All this on secure.booking.com communications. I forwarded this to Wonderful Italy and asked for clarification. Wonderful Italy did send out a notice (a general notice, not one directly responding to me) that a cyber intrusion had happened and warned not to follow the link provided. Over the next 24 hours I received roughly 20 emails in various forms (including occasional Russian words) warning me to send bank information, even after I had checked in to the property. Wonderful Italy is a victim here as well, but it was little comfort to me. And booking.com needs to resolve how this could happen on their “secure” named website.

The location was great, close to all the amenities, train station and restaurants. The apartment was well equipped and clean.

The only problem we had was the power would trip when we turned on the oven.
