The major problem was the lack of sound insulation to the upstairs property. We could hear noisy arguments, loud footsteps and furniture being dragged. The noise from upstairs was during the evening and restarted at 5am. The second night was lovely, once upstairs had left.
USOur host reached out in advance with very thorough instructions and followed up with a phone call the day of arrival. The apartment was perfect for our needs, immaculately clean, with a big cozy bedroom, a great bathroom with double sinks and a large shower, and a kitchen equipped with all the essentials. It’s located relatively nearby to Stowe village and Mt Mansfield (about a 30 min drive) and there are plenty of shops and restaurants close by.
As it’s a basement apartment you can expect to hear some noise from the upstairs neighbors though we were not bothered by this whatsoever.

Bad smell in the basement as soon has we open the door we could smell it. Still under renovation. Saggy bed outdated, we had the impression of visiting the owner living quarter. Fridge was full of food, owner clothes were in the open closet. We will not return nor recommend this place. Very expensive. The owner shall give us or money back !!!
