Nariken Apartments, Cardiff City Center

Convenient location close to city centre as we were attending an event at the castle. The owner was accommodating and let us check out at 11am instead of 10am which we appreciated.

Difficult to find. First impressions were not great and after figuring where the apartment was which was through a side gate when we opened the door the overwhelming stench of cigarette smoke ( despite signs being displayed saying no smoking ! ) was pungent . Once we figured out how to open the sash windows in the bedroom ( which were dirty, dusty and covered in cobwebs ) we were able to get some fresh air into the apartment which also helped with the stifling stuffy heat. Plugs not secured on the bedroom. The one bedroom light continually flickered despite being switched off at the wall. We Informed the owner of this property about the above issues whilst we were there.

very close to the city centre and City Rd restaurants. non resident parking available nearby but luck always helps :)

Smell in the apartment

Bed was very comfortable. Not too far to walk into the city.

Someone had obviously been cooking fish in the oven which was quite dirty and the smell filled the whole room.

It was easy to find this apartment, when we arrived. It was well equipped with everything that one might need. The walk to the city center takes only about 20 minutes, which we found convenient. As non-smokers, we thought we smelled cigarettes smoke in the bedroom upon arrival. This was the only negative side of our stay.
