"Do not book this property you will not receive your £250 deposit and it will flood with rainfall"

At first the experience was ok, apartment clean and decent instructions on how to access it (isn’t easy to find without looking at imagery within the email).

It flooded overnight, I appreciate that these things happen due to heavy rain fall. I tried my best to use towels etc to help and notified the property immediately. What’s worse is I was told a refund would be issued, which I didn’t even push for. The worst thing is that the property required a £250 deposit which I was told would be refunded in 3-5 working days. After receiving an email thanking me for leaving the apartment so clean and tidy, I am yet to receive my deposit back a month later. The property manager is now totally ghosting me and won’t return my calls and so I’m left with no option but to make others aware that what might seem like a cost effective stay in Birmingham is actually very costly at £400 for one night for very basic accommodation. I have never left a negative review, ever because I appreciate social proof is important and wouldn’t want to damage anyone’s business but this is a complete disgrace.

"Really great stay here."

Nicely furnished,warm,comfortable and an excellent location.

We couldn’t access the wi fi from the information we were given but managed it from the hub. The bathroom sink was obviously partially blocked as it took ages to drain. Everything else was fine.

"Hell."

Nothing, as I was unable to stay there. On arrival I was given keys to a room that had already been an accommodated and walked in on a half naked man!

I was unable to stay there and still have no received a refund a month later. The owner tells booking.com he ‘accommodated me’ which is a complete lie. The apartment block is horrible, dirty and not as described. The owner tried to move me into another apartment which had not been cleaned, was falling apart. I ended up driving back home (a 3hr journey) as unable to get any other accommodation. I missed the conference I’d travelled for. The owner takes a £250 deposit- after I entered my details I had fraudulent activity on my account and had to cancel my card.

Good location, spacious, clean and good facilities.

I would have liked to have known before paying for the apartment that a £250 deposit had to be paid 24 hours before checking in. I understand deposits need to paid but I have never paid that much for a deposit and it would have been helpful to have known that while booking.

"Excellent room for the weekend, close to everything we needed."

Just spot on for the weekend

Had no issues really, We didn't mind but thought there was going to be a sofa bed aswel in the bedroom.
