Your luxurious and secluded retreat in Cornwall

Owner was responsive by email. Had a hot water problem, and needed to find a switch.

The place was a little hard to as GPS took us a street below. Has a pj g very narrow driveway. But quaint.

Warm and comfortable

No plug in the bath. Nothing to wash up with. Bags of rubbish thrown into the hedge outside. Remote control for to needs replacing. Expensive for a 2 night stay. Cracked and damaged ding chairs.

Lovely apartment and easily accessible. Quiet location but not far from town. Comfy beds and brilliantly equipped with all we needed. Lots of towels, toilet roll, washing up equipment etc. Host was fantastic too.

host communication was very poor, and the location of flat is really bad, as you have to drive in the wrong direction to turn to some side road.

The location was great. Near all facilities with a Dr Who themed fish & chip shop and a Lidl nearby. Lovely woods run next to the property with great walks. The rooms in the property were nice and clean. The main bedroom had a shelf in the wardrobe but the other two didin't, so everything needed to be hung up. The main living area was large and bright with good seating areas. There were instructions for appliances left in the kitchen, but see below. Our host left a pint of milk in the fridge for us and answered our query about the wi-fi when we could not connect. The Old Mill is secluded and the road narrow on approach, although there is plenty of parking. If coming back at night you will need the torch on your mobile because there are no lights until you reach the property, and it is pitch black. On the plus side, I've not seen as many stars in the sky for years. No light pollution.

We couldn't get the oven working, despite the instructions left. The TV was only available for catch-up. No aerial signal. Because my son took one of his own appliances we were able to view live TV using our mobiles to cast through the TV. Although it is a quiet location, the noise from the people upstairs could get annoying, especially when there were children running and jumping on the floor. A chopping board in the kitchen would have been useful. Also, there is no freeze box in the fridge. There were no instructions as to what to do with recycling or rubbish when we left.
