Your luxurious and secluded retreat in Cornwall

The location was great. Near all facilities with a Dr Who themed fish & chip shop and a Lidl nearby. Lovely woods run next to the property with great walks. The rooms in the property were nice and clean. The main bedroom had a shelf in the wardrobe but the other two didin't, so everything needed to be hung up. The main living area was large and bright with good seating areas. There were instructions for appliances left in the kitchen, but see below. Our host left a pint of milk in the fridge for us and answered our query about the wi-fi when we could not connect. The Old Mill is secluded and the road narrow on approach, although there is plenty of parking. If coming back at night you will need the torch on your mobile because there are no lights until you reach the property, and it is pitch black. On the plus side, I've not seen as many stars in the sky for years. No light pollution.

We couldn't get the oven working, despite the instructions left. The TV was only available for catch-up. No aerial signal. Because my son took one of his own appliances we were able to view live TV using our mobiles to cast through the TV. Although it is a quiet location, the noise from the people upstairs could get annoying, especially when there were children running and jumping on the floor. A chopping board in the kitchen would have been useful. Also, there is no freeze box in the fridge. There were no instructions as to what to do with recycling or rubbish when we left.

The inside of the property has been modernised, very clean, and comfortable

The bathroom is disgusting, ceiling has moldy marks, damp, yellow stains and shower needs replacing, the Location is difficult to reach and this cottage is located around a foresty area, the outside structure desperately needs attention, felt like I was in a haunted location, very spooky and like The Blair with project, I felt very scared and un-easy and standing outside for a cigarette in the evening is out the question, couldn't open any windows at night due to being too dark and scary

We loved the colour scheme, the furniture and all the crockery, bedding and furnishings were lovely. Host was really friendly.

The bathroom needs cleaning, tired and some damp

Host was super friendly and gave clear instructions. Private parking at the rear. Large space for lots of guest. Good value for money

Not to my expectation of clean, especially bathroom. The upstairs neighbours are exceptionally loud, can hear every footstep.
