Boutique family apartment in celebrity village.

Great location for a visit to Barnt Green. Would definitely use accommodation again. Great communication with owner Simon who so kindly put the heating on before we arrived.

Keys not available on my arrival at 9:30pm. I called the owner who was 45 minutes away in Leamington Spa and stated he was not aware of my booking via booking.com even through the payment of £116.95 had been taken from my bank account and I could not request a refund at that time. I had to wait outside for the owner to arrive at 10:15pm and he let me into the property when it became very clear, it was not ready for me to stay. The photographs are not accurate, the property is cold and damp as it had been flooded (told this by the owner) and was still drying out. The bathroom was not fit for use and should be completely refitted before renting out as the bath and shower cannot be used. The lock on the inside of the bathroom door was broken off. The owner had to bring one toilet roll back, after he let me into the property, and there was no hand wash or shower gel, and the towels that were still in the tumble dryer when I arrived, though washed were still stained. When I entered the bedroom the bed that was made up had been slept in. The sheet, duvet cover and pillow cases all had stains on them and when the owner brought bed linen to the property after he had let me in, I had to change the bed when I then discovered the mattress topper, pillow and duvet were also all stained. There was a tear in the sofa in the living room which was dusty and had cobwebs on the wall. In the kitchen, the washing machine had mould inside the door and was full of dirty towels. I did not stay the night, I left after I had managed to find somewhere else to stay for the night.

I initially received an email from the owner to say the check in time was delayed from 3-after 7pm. Once I got there the place had not been cleaned. The place was damp. The heating was not working. He said the Hive system was not working so there would be no heating. I called him and he said if I wanted to leave then I could and he would refund the money. I then asked for clean bedsheets as I was too tired to go anywhere as I was waiting in my car from 4pm to 7pm as he changed the checkout time. He then came over to the property and saw it had not been cleaned. He smelt the duvet and agreed it had not been changed from the previous guests. The toilet bowl was not cleaned and there was faecal matter and urine in there from the previous guest(s). He was exasperated with his cleaner and said if I wanted to leave he would ensure I got a full refund. I agreed and left. An hour later after I found another place he messaged saying he would not refund me. I then read the reviews and it appears this is not the first time he has done this. With hindsight o should have taken photos but was too tired and exhausted and just wanted to leave.

Location great, no breakfast. Supplied my own.

No heating on, gas fire but no way of lighting it. power off to the Hive control. I found the fuse box outside as I was leaving with trip-switches off. :-/ It was quite late when I wanted the heating on and I didn't contact the host but if there had been a booklet/Occupier Guide/instructions I would have neen fine. Subsequently it was a bit cold. The Kitchen - No chopping boards.... the oven needs a deep clean and after really heavy rain that day, the skylight was dripping on to the table. The Hot tap could not be turned off and needs a new washer. No dust pan and brush and the iron leaked water over my shirt, the ironing board had bits falling off.... I could go on which would make it sound terrible which it certainly isnt and easy things to rectify (I'm guessing these things will be addressed quickly, it just felt like it wasn't quite 'Ready'.. work in progress) All that said, it suited my purpose for an overnight stay. The outside areas just need tidying up. Parking availability right outside the front door was very useful.

Lovely ground floor apartment, beautifully decorated. A Smart TV and plenty of bedding. Off road parking was a bonus as was the location as Barnt Green is very pretty and you have all the shops you really need in the High Street including 3 takeaways and a train station. It is an ideal base to explore surrounding areas. The apartment is well equipped, and in a quiet area. You can't beat it if you want a good base to explore from.

There were no sticks on the blinds to be able to close them which was a pain as it meant that when the sun came up the light nisug came flooding in. There is a runner in the living room that has tured up at one end and although this has been attempted to be taped down it was still a trip hazard and I had to keep reminding my mobility impaired mother to be careful. The last thing is there was some drilling and banging with a hammer going on next door which I believe is where the owner lives and I completely understand they probably work during the week and weekends are the only time they can do this work however some notice it would start at 8:30 on a Sunday would have been nice.

Stayed for one night as we were visiting family in Barnt Green. Good location close to shops and pub. Parking at property.

Absolutely fine for a short stay.
