Comfortable, nice decor and spacious

No hot water in taps. Very sad shower, no airer for laundry :-(

Absolutely lovely, perfect cottage. Quiet, well equipped. Couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stay. Thank you for sharing your beautiful property.

5pm check in is a little later than usual but we spoke to Chris at 4.30 and he very kindly allowed us in. This is in no way meant as a criticism, merely a comment. There was nothing to dislike about the cottage.

Liked the quietness and the ability to sit outside. Liked the good shower and although did not use kitchen other than for coffee and toast, it appeared to be well equipped.

It was not as clean as expected - the blind on the bathroom window had not been cleaned in a long time, as had the toothbrush holder etc in bathroom cupboard. Although we put the immersion on for a bath, the water pressure was so low, it was not possible to have a bath as took too long to fill the bath. Sofa was not comfortable.

Inadequate supply of towels- Had to locate them in an airing cupboard, only 2 hand towels and 1 medium sized towel for a couple! Dreadful water supply- no running water from one basin tap, and drizzling water from hot bath tap. Advertised toiletries- which consisted of an inch of cheap Cien shampoo only!! Bed linen, pillows and duvet need replacing… mattress very uncomfortable, very low bed frame and very little room to get round either side of the small double bed. There was supposed to be a usable garden with furniture, ( my reason for private accommodation and not a hotel) however, the garden was inaccessible due to tall weeds and nowhere to sit…wasps were everywhere due to a wasp nest in the brick wall, and there was no garden furniture available! This was so disappointing as the property itself is lovely- the basics are poor and unsatisfactory for the price. The check in time was so late ( after 5pm) and as we had to vacate the premises by 10am- this property is well overpriced at £122 for one night!! There is cheaper accommodation in the area, and on face value you would expect a higher quality standard of general amenities at this property… sad to say… it was disappointing!
