"Very cozy cottage"

10.0

This was perfect for us because we were going to a wedding reception in Heslston mid week. It saved us worrying about how we would get back to Redruth after 12am. We have family in The Lizard and Redruth so we'd definitely book again. 👍🏻😊

There wasn't anything we disliked about this property!

"Very relaxed, comfortable stay."

9.0

Well equipped beautiful cottage, perfect for our little break away, Chris was extremely helpful. Will definitely return.

Maybe bigger bath towels? But wasn’t an issue.

"Lovely quiet little nights stay in Helston"

8.0

We had a lovely night at this cute little cottage. Big wide open living/dining area and a cosy master bedroom.

Towels were quite hard to find Instructions for the cooker just incase another guest isn’t used to analogue

"Decent property but marred by absence of instructions on heating system and poor car access."

5.0

Good bed, towels and linen. Spacious living room. Decent shower. A short walk to the Main Street - less than 10 minutes. Great for the Blue Anchor. Parking great.

Total absence of instructions. Every cottage rental (we've done a good number) had a folder explaining the basics of how to operate the heating, TV etc. We struggled for some time to get the heating operating properly. So, wasted too much time with this on Day 1 when we were genuinely very cold after a long drive. TV channels were an exploration (BBC1 was on 802 - found Day 2). Access to Mill Lane is problematic. First of all Sat-Nav took us down a pedestrian alley above the property. Mill Lane is at a split level junction meaning that you can only approach it from one side (as it rises on a little cliff). Sat-Nav from the Penzance Rd side of Helston takes you past this junction and you have to do a three-point turn beyond it to face the right way. Inexperienced drivers on country lanes will have the vapours. Doors between rooms on latches. Inconvenient taking food between the kitchen and dining table.

"Could have been a good stay for central Helston however not enough care and maintenance"

6.0

Key collection as described. Not much else at the property was as expected and described.

Front entrance was not very inviting and had not been cleaned in some time. No outside light which is very dangerous especially in such a dark surrounding environment. Poorly equipped. Multiple blown lightbulbs. Upstairs bedroom isn’t safe with very low ceilings and steep stairs. Downstairs bed was falling apart. Had to go hunting for towels and tea towels when finally found the towels so worn out that you can see through them. Pillows need to be replaced

"Superb"

9.0

Spacious historical cottage. A great place for a base in Cornwall. Parking space was out the front. Washing machine, full stove, and bath.

Could not use fireplace, but there was electric heating but a little on the cool side for the middle of winter.

"The location was pretty"

9.0

The location was good in a quiet area and had good surroundings

The only thing I can say is the kitchen didn't have any extractors to take away steam heat while cooking winter periods this is needed maybe not in the summer also the bathroom sink hot water tap didn't work and that is a must to have
