Daresh home stay

The property is extremely clean, Deva and his family are outstanding hosts and the food is exceptionally good. Deva speaks good English and is always willing to help. Gartmore falls and surrounds, Adam’s peak and the tea plantations are all close by and easily accessed from Daresh home stay. We booked for two nights and ended up staying for three nights.

Very welcoming, in a quite peaceful spot by a river. AMAZING food, the Tamil style Pittu and Fish Dahl was incredible.

This is such a lovely place! We ended up here because another hotel had a double booking. We planned om staying only 2 nights and ended up staying 5 nights. It is such a relaxing place and the hosts are so incredibly welcoming and caring... Absolutely lovely. Do not expect a fancy hotel, but an sincere, cosy homestay/guesthouse with hosts that are simply beautiful people. Also the food was just great!

Place is clean dn modern inside with attached bathroom with hot water as well.. also the bed is very comfortable with spring mattress..

At the time of booking, there was only one review of this homestay. So we took a leap of faith - that's how we roll... Wow! Were we rewarded! This is by far the best homestay, and Deva is a superhost! He goes above and beyond to make sure we have everything we could possibly want and need, while his lovely wife Mangu conjures up meals fit for the gods! The room is spacious, clean and comfortable (mosquito-net included). A large bay-window overlooks the tea plantations. At night, the subtle ramblings of an enthusiastic river will guide you into a deep coma, as it did for us. The quaint town is within walking distance and packed with friendly Tamil shopkeepers. We absolutely loved our stay! Everyone should experience their hospitality and homestay for sure. It has been the highlight of our journey so far. Thanks to Deva and his wife Mangu. :-)

Quiet place to stay and enjoy Maskeliya, the owner and his wife are lovely people and their food is delicious ! I recommend 🙌 The bed was great and the room big

Wonderful host (and family), asked us if we want breakfast after we got back in the morning from our climb to Adams Peak, which was super appreciated. The host can help you arrange tuktuk to Adams Peak in the night for a reasonable price. The view from the porch is nice, the location is good and the price is unbeatable for what you get. Clean sheets and clean room with a fresh bathroom.

Can be a bit tricky to find in the night, look for the signs on the road then take the stairs down and you will be greeted by the wonderful host.
