"An excellent property which I will highly recommend to friends and family."

10.0

The attention to detail . Safety gate at the top of the highest stairs. The fact that a gaming room was provided equipped with a games console.

A small set of instructions on how to watch normal TV on the living room television.

"Loved this house and would definitely recommend to anyone."

10.0

Spacious, bright, modern and clean.

Nothing at all but a suggestion would be for a couple of USB ports in a socket and maybe some shower mats.

"Spacious, well presented, good location, touch of luxury ."

8.0

Great location for exploring coast but being away from hubbub of Whitby, peaceful, beautiful village when you explore village itself. House spacious and well presented . Off road car parking for one car a boon on little road house is located on.

House well equipped except for a few little things that would make a difference. Might look a bit silly pointed out here, we stayed three nights and there were only 2 dishwasher tabs, 2 tea towels, no hand towels in the kitchen, one dishcloth, no surface cleaner etc. A water jug and tea pot would be useful, and a line outside for drying beach paraphernalia. There were one or two maintenance issues we reported that were hopefully sorted after we left, but pls. Be careful of the dishwasher door if it’s not been repaired / dishwasher replaced. Also, vision when drawing out of the parking space difficult because of large vehicles (permanently?) parked either side of the space. It’s a little but very busy little road , one of us acted as a spotter so we were sure it was safe to pull out. However road noise is not a problem We loved the house, we will hopefully book again and definitely recommend. Spacious, easily accommodated two families / larger numbers etc.

"Great place to stay for a family holiday"

9.0

Beautiful well equipped house, ideal for families. The beds are comfortable. We always had plenty of hot water. Good wi-fi. Loved the separate TV/games room on the first floor. Heating works well from Nest controller in the main bedroom. It's a short drive to beaches at Whitby, Sandsend, Runswick Bay or Robin Hood's Bay. There is a train station in the village that allows access to Whitby and Pickering. The North York Moors steam railway is also close by

The only real negative is that the dishwasher is not full size and doesn't clean the dishes properly unless on max setting. I also had to buy dishwasher tablets and bin-liners as none were provided. No terrestrial TV channels available. We had to sign in to our own streaming services. The wi-fi password in the welcome email was incorrect and caused a little confusion until we found the correct details had been left in the living room. The following comments are about accessibility: The top floor bedrooms have steep stairs up to them. The layout of the twin room up here could do with being refigured as one of the beds is very close an overhead beam where it would be easy to bump your head. We took my 95 year old father who walks with a stick. He was fine with the steps up to the front of the house and stairs to the first floor. There are walk in showers on all 3 levels but no handrails so he felt unsafe using them and didn't shower after the first day. It would be good to add a handrail and anti-slip mat in the ground floor shower for those who need.
