A Small Nature Hotel Hilltop 高原の小さなホテル ヒルトップ

The host was very welcoming and nice to us! The food was delicious after out long hike, which the location is ideal for. Would love to stay here again if I get the chance.

Amazing location, quiet and serene. Food was spectacular and the host was welcoming and very kind.

Nothing.

I did not realize a couple of things. First, the hotel was a long taxi ride from the train station. Also, we were not aware of the deadline to pre-order our evening meal. But he hotel was thoughtful in emailing us to pick up something to eat before leaving Kiso-Fukushima. We picked up some ramen and crackers. And third, the pillows could be improved. Other than that, we appreciated the host’s hospitality and his offer to give us a ride to the bus stop in the morning for our return to the station. It is a lovely area, it not convenient for a one night stay.

Location is in the middle of the forest- good to see stars, but far away from anything else We ate dinner and breakfast - were excellent Room is ok - although beds are twins and not double and we’re very hard ( didn’t sleep well) Overall - good for travelers with a car, and with budget

Mattress was hard and not comfortable to me.

L'hôtel est situé dans les hauteurs et il faut une voiture pour y accéder (parking disponible sur place), mais ça en vaut la peine car l'emplacement est très joli au milieu des montagnes. La chambre était très grande et les lits confortables. Nous avons également dîné sur place et le repas était excellent (cuisine européenne). Le personnel est accueillant et à l'écoute et notre séjour s'est très bien passé.

All was ok.

We were traveling by public transportation. Hotel owner told us that he could arrange the ride to his hotel from where we got the bus at. He was already waiting for us when we arrived by bus, that was a great comfort! He gave us ride back to the bus stop next day, very willingly, very nice. The owner is a chef, his French dinner was wonderful! What I heard was that his food is very well kown for the “Great Food” and the people make special effort to make reservations for his food.

The dinner time started at 6:30pm we would have like it at 6pm.
