I already supplied a review of the unsatisfactory first rental unit at The Base. I have no complaints about the second rental which was a nice unit. If I could specify and request that unit for a future rental then I would definitely consider another stay at The Base.

Unfortunately, the apparent random assignment of rental units means that I could get another unsatisfactory unit the next time. Rather than take that risk, I will only book hotel rooms in the future.

The hassle of che king in

The contact person, Jenny, was prompt responding to my text messages and also about sending service staff to the apartment as needed. The shower was good.

The price of 44,000 baht was high compared to similar facilities in the area. For that price I expected top notch everything but it was just the opposite. Examples: upon arrival the key was hard to get into the lock then I couldn’t get it out. A maintenance guy, who didn’t speak English nor attempt to communicate, came up and installed a new lock. Then the valuables safe was locked. Same maintenance guy came back and took it all apart but it didn’t allow me to close the safe door and set my own combination as hotel safes are supposed to. Instead the guy put in 1,2,3,4 as the combination. So much for security. Now everyone will know my combination if tells others. On top of that that the safe wasn’t screwed down to the shelf. Anyone could pick it up and walk out with it. There were 2 tv’s. The one in the bedroom didn’t work. The other one in the living room turned on but I couldn’t access channels. Bring back the maintenance guy. Again no communication. He fiddled with the remote said nothing and left. How did that help? Later I fiddled with the remote and accessed options like HBO and Netflix but I needed a membership to open them which I didn’t have. The only thing I could get was YouTube but all it had were old movies mostly spaghetti westerns shot in Italy with dubbed in voices. Must have watched every spaghetti western made during my stay. Then the bed. I’m 5’11” tall but my feet hung over the end of the bed unless I curled up in a fetal position. The mattress was very firm. Next, the refrigerator. Part way through my stay it started grinding and chugging. It’s more than 10 years old. Time for a new one. No sirree. We’ll send up a service guy to fix it. It took 2 days of his labour but he got rid of the noise. Next, the clothes washer (Note: there is no clothes dryer). I put in a load, set it at Cotton and let it go. Go it did. 4 hours later and it was still going strong with no indication of stopping. Send up the service guy who fixed the fridge.

It's old. It's dirty. The check-in was from 3p.m. but the ❗️ landlord only got in touch on the day of the check-in, at 4pm and said where the keys were. Until then, he had ignored the correspondence

Poor service or I must say service not at all you must look for hotel will get much better service as well price too
