Stone Shack Ella

One of the best room we have been so far. Lots of space and very clean, also the bathroom super nice with the stone details. But the best part for sure is the balcony of the room with a stunning view on the mountains, where we had breakfast the next morning. Only recommendation, the street to arrive is not the best, so if you're driving a tuk tuk for the first time like us try to go with the daylight and always follow the instruction of the host.

Beautiful location. Kinda secluded not easy to get to, but very peaceful and a great view. The owner is very kind and serves amazing breakfast! Would recommend this place!

Cleanliness and the view.

One of the most incredible places I've ever stayed! The family are so lovely, so kind and calming and just wanting to help you enjoy your stay. The food is excellent, with generous portions. Their prices are very fair. The room and bathroom are clean and spacious. But above anything else -- the VIEW! It's so absolutely incredible, there's nothing like sitting there just observing the hills and valleys, listening to the birds and watching the squirrels and monkeys, with a cup of afternoon tea. Truly a breathtaking location, and an excellent place to recharge your spirit.

Nothing! Amazing place and amazing hosts!

This is so far the best place we stayed in Sri Lanka! We took the room with the balcony and what a magic moment to wake up every morning with such an incredible view on the valley and a delicious home made breakfast. The owners are really sweet. We stayed 4 nights but I wish we could have stayed there forever...

Bed was comfy. Dinner was extraordinary. The nice room has a terrace with a stunning view of the valley, the hills and a waterfall. The host organized a half day trip to four waterfalls with the TukTuk. It was a great trip. The host and her family were so welcoming.

It‘s outside, so you must take a TukTuk to get to Ella. We were fine, because we loved the location.

If you're planning a stay in Ella, be sure to stay here. The accommodation is a bit off the beaten track, but it offers breathtaking views. The family, with their three children, grandma, and grandpa, will fulfill your every wish. They'll even organize a tuk-tuk for you at any time at a very reasonable price. We had dinner there in the evening, and it was delicious. Everyone is extremely warm and friendly. You feel like part of the family.
