Lakeside Eco Pod

The view from the pod over the lake is stunning. It was so isolated and peaceful.

Beautiful location and clean, comfy bed. Perfectly secluded spot that we felt comfortable in. We took a camping stove to cook and we bought some logs from David & Julie for our campfire. Just the break we needed and the dogs loved it! See you soon ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The location is fabulous. The view is stunningly amazing. The owners are good people and ready to help.

The stay was a bit rough. In terms of the facilities, don’t expect to find the comfort of hotels, but, instead, of a camping kind of situation. You need to bring extra water with you, along with your own food. Public transport also doesn't go nearby.

We were kindly upgraded so didn't stay in the pod due to the terrible weather at the time. (It was very late, very dark, windy and had been raining across England for days.) I suspect there might have been a search and rescue if we'd tried to walk through the field to the pod in those conditions. So I can't comment on the pod. But look forward to returning at some point when the weather is better.

Beautiful lake & forest view. Totally secluded, private and peaceful. Brilliant Hosts, David and family, lovely people, happy to help with anything. David brought our stuff to the cabin on the quad bike and arranged for breakfast to be delivered to us. Clear starry skies and fire pit to keep you warm. Perfect 👌🏽 Also a stunning forest to stroll around with ruins of a historic fortress tucked away.

We didn't mind a bit of sheep herding but to be aware the pod is located on a farm and the sheep and 2 lovely horses do like to have a nosey at what you're up to at times!

David and Julie are excellent hosts making any guest feel welcome. The pod itself is cosy and warm inside with a very comfortable bed. There are USB ports for powering up any gadgets and lights inside. The toilet facility is next to the pod. The Beauty of this accommodation is the feeling of the great outdoors and the stunning setting the pod is situated in next to the lake by yourselves! . There is also a fire pit in front of the decking to add to the ambiance in the evening. Bring your own logs or ask David in advance if he has any in for the required amount to pay. Overall I would recommend this pod! Thank you David and Julie hope to see you again soon :-)
