Food and entertainment options were very good. Staff was very helpful and friendly especially Sandali. She took care us during all stay. Location is near to Male, 40 min by boat. Beach sunset villa was amazing. If you decided to go Maldives you must choose Joy Island

Our stay at joy island was exceptional! All of the staff were so friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back, 10/10 for everything.

It was a great experience. All of the workers were professional and nice. They were helpful and respectful, especially Mr. Ashraf. The food was delicious and there was a good variety. The villa was clean and comfortable. The view from the villa was so nice. I highly recommend this resort.

I loved the resort but most importantly I loved the care the resort took for our overall stay. There was a representative awaiting us at our arrival who guided us, took our baggage and led us to the speedboat. The captain and assistants were just wonderful and kept checking to make sure our family was ok during the 45 minute speedboat ride to the hotel. Our arrival was simply something out of a storybook. We were greeted by Maldivian drummers and led to the reception where we were greeted with a welcome drink and juices for the kids. We were met by the Operations Manager and simply felt extremely welcomed. Our check in was completed in under 5 minutes. We arrived close to the end of dinner time and the staff showed concern and made sure we simply dropped our bags off in our room and headed to dinner. We had most of our meals at the Market which was their buffet. The buffet was well varied with a wonderful selection of salads, cold cuts, cheeses, vinaigrettes, fresh vegetable fruit, grilled meat, roasted chicken, lamb, sausages and seafood. There was soup, breads, curries and the desserts were tucked away in a beautiful room called the room of sin. The staff at the Market were just amazing from the hostesses who greeted us with their warm smiles each and every time. The waiters and waitresses who were always pleasant and inquired how we were enjoying our stay. I could not get all their names but each and every one made our stay special: the hostesses who led us to our table, the chef at the omelette station, the chef at waffle, pancake and crepe station, the waiters and waitresses. Everyone was amazing. The food was delicious and I strongly recommend that you try their Maldivian as we tried everything and loved it! The housekeeping is top notch as well. We stayed in Villas 130 and 132 and the gentleman who took care of our housekeeping was just incredible as our villas were left impeccable. This is no small feat considering we have children!

There is a lot that can be written about a Joy Island. However, all descriptions should certainly be positive. First of all, the entire service deserves the greatest appreciation, which makes this place even better and accessible to all guests. We would like to thanks a lot Ashraf, Jushann, Leeman and the entire team. They were the most helpful and smiling resort employees we've ever met on holidays in oure live. The location of the island itself is perfect, with easy transfer from the airport in Male. Transport time by speedboat is very affordable. For people who like diving and snorkeling, Joy is a very good base with short transfer times to several breathtaking places. The tideness of the entire resort / the island and the rooms itselves was at the highest level. There are a lot of good things we can say about the meals and dishes served in the restaurant. The quality and freshness of the dishes were at the highest level. Including the preparation of fish caught by myself, each dish was extremely tasty. The great advantages were the dishes prepared during every meal, as well as additional culinary attractions such as mozzarella and burrata made in the restaurant and various types of pasta. The greeting of guests and the farewell are also unique and they remain in oure memory for many days (we still thinking how to organise return journey to Joy). Considering all the positives, we can only recommend a trip to Joy for everyone who want to relax and entrust your special holiday time to the care of professionals.

The supply of bathroom amenities (shampoo, moistures etc). They additionally could make better use of their gift store, was over priced and generally souvenirs are branded but they only had cheap or generic items. Feedback for night entertainment- singers need to change their music and genre
