i really enjoyed my stay at the Island tower guest house, it's a charming place where the staff goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome and at home. Mr. Beehm Singh is probably the best host i had on my India journey. The building itself is older but was recently fully re-designed and has been painted by amazing artists. Every room/suite is different and the artwork looks even better in real then on the fotos.it gives you the feeling of being a Maharaja in his royal chambers. i enjoyed breakfast and dinner here on the lovely rooftop terrace. the food was freshly prepared and delicious!

"Tradition guest house in old town"

Lovely and quite all painted guest house aligned with traditonal Indian style in old town. The host is so available and gentle, taking care of every of your needs and willing to improve the service. We got rich dinner and breakfast (this is included in the reservation) on the rooftop, with the skyline view. Everything was clean and safe.

"Great artwork and designs throughout the hotel, and decent rooftop."

I loved the artwork and designs throughout the hotel. The owner is a very talented artist and his work made a big difference in the overall look and feel of the place. Plus he was incredibly friendly, and will go out of his way to make sure you have everything you need. The location is good, within walking distance to everything.

I wish the rooftop had a better view of the lake. Just so you know you do have a lake view, but you also see a bunch of buildings as well, so some of the previous reviews felt a bit misleading. Also the hotel had a terrible chemical smell half the time (not in my room though thankfully). I was told this was bug spray to kill mosquitos that could be spreading dengue fever, but as far as I know, dengue fever is not a problem in Udaipur so not sure what this was about.
