Price, location and facilities - especially parking! - were perfect for our needs

Size, location, power shower, tv, clean bedding and towels, clean highly polished floor but could be slippy. Great to have shops so close by and VIP Italian restaurant very good, beach/lido 10 mins walk

Poor cleanliness everywhere!!! dull decor & old and mismatched furniture, strange layout, cramped kitchen/diner & lounge but 2x massive bedrooms. Odd kitchen items on display and old/odd crockery. Sink and worktop very dirty and no kitchen hand towels or tea towels even though I told them we didn’t get any? Basic stuff like kitchen roll not provided and very cheap toilet rolls. Bath mats dirty.

Spacious, comfortable bedrooms; a good shower; a convenient and frequent bus connection into Brighton; a convenient, easily accessible parking space next to the steps up to the flat; clear, prompt communication from owner and easy checkin/out; handy shops and a great lido in Saldean a short walk from the flat.

The kitchen was superficially clean but in need of a deep clean to remove dirty and sticky patches from cupboard doors and handles; dirty utensils etc (including lipstick marks and fingerprints on glasses) although presumably this is as much the fault of previous tenants and appreciate it is easily missed if there is a quick turnaround; noise from next door flat every morning at about 7am which was a bit annoying in the main bedroom - although the noise was always very happy and cheerful and not a major problem.

The location is great for the south coast and south downs. The bedrooms are large. Plenty of room. Beds comfy. Our pet dog made welcome. Lovely hot water and shower. Fish and chips to die for from shop across the road and co-op and chemist there too.

The owners sent us the wrong address and so we spent time looking for a flat that didn't exist before contacting them. They also sent us a message hoping we'd had a lovely stay and please check out by 10am when we still had 24 hours to go. Access is via lots of steps, so not wheelchair friendly but I don't recall seeing that in the original description. No tea towels available. Whilst the flat is clean comfortable, the kitchen/diner/lounge feels a little cramped, and we felt one of the bedrooms could easily be a lounge, though this would be a the cost of a bed.
