La Casa Colorada

Mooi uitzicht vanop het dakterras . Lekker ontbijt, zowel ter plaatse als take away! We konden onze was laten doen. Het grotere project achter dit verblijf is heel erg tof! Ze werken er aan de community samen met de kinderen uit de buurt.

Geen gratis drinkwater beschikbaar en minimale gedeelde keuken. Een basic koffiezet en grotere frigo had fijn geweest. Er was in de slaapkamer geen gordijn waardoor zeer vroeg wakker door het licht

Very friendly staff. Little kitchen is very convenient. Wonderful terrace. Close to Flores but away from tourist crowds.

This was a perfect place to stay for our short visit to Flores. The hosts are so friendly and welcoming, answering any questions and bike rental available. The rooftop is amazing, well equipped kitchen for cooking, room very clean and spacious. The community work that the hosts do is amazing was fantastic to join in with this on Sunday evening. Whilst a little outside of the main town/island it is easily connected by taxi or tuktuk and the hosts are happy to help arrange this. Also very easy to cycle ti Flores and the surrounding areas.

The shower pressure wasn’t great but it was nice and hot.

The host couple was exceptionally flexible (cancellation, extension, extra day – everything went smoothly, and we were lucky with their booking calendar). They made our stay memorable with their good humor, helpful tips, and—on request—very delicious food. The city center of Flores is a bit of a walk, but easily reachable by tuk-tuk, so the tranquility of the rooftop terrace more than makes up for it. Recommended.

Super nice hosts, very helpful, great hospitality! Besides the hotel the hosts are working on a project for the benefit of the local community (including a French language school for kids, regular clean up activities, ...) - both have a very inspiring energy!:) The place itself is very nice and comfy, with a great rooftop terrace where a small, but very delicious breakfast is served at an extra cost.

We liked everything! Just be aware that you're not within walking distance to Flores if you're there to visit the island. But they can set you up with a nice Tuktuk driver to take you around..

Until now, this was the best place we've stayed during our 2 month holiday. The owners Janesca and Alexis are so kind en helped us with everything. The breakfast was amazing and we've tried Janesca's secret whiskey-liquor. Amazing! The beds were comfortable and everything was very clean. And the cherry on top the cake was the amazing view from the rooftop terrace. Would definitely come here again!

They are very nice people, when I told them the beds were very uncomfortable, they bought a futon to put on top of the mattress, and the next day they said they already ordered new ones.

My arrival wasn't very smooth, I waited outside 15 min.no big deal, my room wasn't ready at 18:30, I don't care either. I decided to have dinner there. 30 min. after ordering, they said my room was ready, but I decided to wait there, as I was expecting the dinner would come soon, but it took 1h. and 20 min. I just wished they warned me before. No light in the room for a while... I know they will do it great and the score will be high, but due to my experience I just can give this score

We loved the house, specially the roof with the nice view to the lake. The host was very nice and helpful. We were very satisfied with the stay and could say that it was the best stay in Guatemala for us.

Everything was excellent for us

Very welcoming and comfortable place. The host Janesca made us feel at home, was very friendly and always happy to help. Our room was very cosy and spacious, bigger than we expected! Our favourite spot was the rooftop terrace: an oasis of peace and chill with a great view on the lake. The house is away from all the tourists but it's a safe and nice walk to the center. You'll also be able to contribute to the lovely local community if you're interested!
