Casa NiMa Lake Apartment

All you need from an apartment - extremely helpful host who sorted out taxis for us on a couple times. Incredible views

Lack of air conditioning may be a struggle in warmer months.

Absolutely fantastic stay, hosts were very accommodating for whatever we needed. Highly highly recommend for a stay in varenna!!!

Gorgeous apartment overlooking lake como, great views from the living room, bedroom and terrace. Host was great and helped us with whatever we needed. She also gave us a complimentary bottle of wine and lots of snacks. The apartment was impeccably clean.

It’s a bit of a hike from Varenna station but the Marta was very kind enough to call taxis for us.

Lack of heating and cold interior. The living room had cold tiles and no rugs. Not much decoration on the walls so the room seemed empty and was cold. Communication with the hosts took long and didn't help.

First of all, the view was absolutely amazing. We had a lovely dinner with the sun setting and the views of como infront of us. The facilities were also great, with bedding towels and a clean space. We had complementary snacks in the apartment with ample space in the kitchen and living room to make our own food and relax.

Only downside was the walk to the property but it turned out to be more fun towards the end. There are buses and taxis that go from varenna station to the apartment, however we decided to walk to save some money and because the buses were not frequent. The walk was hilly and steep and a great workout in the end.

The apartment is very spacious and very clean and you get a very nice view of the lake and surrounding mountains from the terrace. The kitchen is well equipped and you could also find oil, salt and pepper, some spices and coffee and tea there. There is also a private parking space in a garage that is easy to access that you could use during your stay and that is very important as parking is a problem in the area. Nicole and Marta our hosts were very nice and accommodating. There is a lot of turism info in the apartment including some booklets regarding the villas and castles that you could visit in the area, hiking trails as well as the ferry schedule. We really appreciated our host’s attention to details. There was also a nice bottle of sparkling wine and some pretzels waiting for us in the living room. That’s a very nice touch! If you like excellent view, this is for sure a house for you.

Casa NiMa was perfect for us. The location is about a 25 minute walk from varenna with good bus network. The apartment was extremely clean and spacious with beautiful views of lake como. The hosts went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Definitely recommend!
