Casa NiMa Lake Apartment

The views from the apartment are unbeatable. We were visiting Lake Como in the summer, so it was very hot down in the city of Varenna so escaping to higher ground and cooler air at night was very nice. The apartment was very spacious and we were met with complimentary snacks and drinks. The hosts went out of their way with communication and assisting us to find taxis/places to store our luggage, etc.

It is possible to walk down the city stairs if you go up 2 minutes from the apartment. It took about 20 minutes of walking down from Perledo in order to get back to the train and ferry station in Varenna. To us, walking back up was not an option. Thankfully the taxi drivers are very kind. There is also a Perledo shuttle.

Great views of Lake Como and very spacious. Remains cool in the apartment despite the summer heat. Marta the host is very nice and helpful. Relaxing and quiet with close proximity to a mini market and one or two family run restaurants.

It is up on a hill so make sure you are prepared to get to the city by bus, cab, or hike a steep hill. Beddings can be improved, but they are good enough for a comfy stay!

View was lovely. Can tell hosts put thought and attention to detail in the apartment.

Very far walk from town/difficult drive up a steep mountain - discourages you from wanting to go to town. WiFi signal was very very poor. The shower curtain was also very awkward- no room to move in an already small shower.

I couldn’t work the coffee maker or figure out the TV but the owners were wonderful and caring
