Elizabeth cleaned my room and did an outstanding job

The room was clean and spacious. But at times amenities were inconsistent (two towels on one day, one on another day). The one day my door was left open by one of the staff. The power did keep tripping on two of the days. There was a bit of a pushy man in the lobby the one day trying to sell me his paintings, which felt a bit uncomfortable. In the lobby male washroom the one day, a female cleaner was inside. We had a group booking but a few of my colleagues didn’t get rooms and had to sleep at another hotel for one night, luckily I got the last room available. This was despite the booking being done several months in advance.

Mary the Customer Relations rep was incredible. She was so accommodating and helpful. Her and a few of the restaurant staff were happy to assist with a smile. I’d like to recognize Veronica, Mary, Grace, Landon and Mabel. Mabel always greeted us with blessings. Thank you Veronica for organizing and gathering your team to wish our friends Terry Flippen and happy birthday ant breakfast. Thank you for welcoming us home. I’d like to also acknowledge the gift shop manager Christopher Alokpo. He went the extra mile to make us so welcome in the gift shop. He helped us pick out very nice gifts and souvenirs for our friends and family. He helped me to get a bag for the drum that I bought. He was also extremely helpful to my friends I sent to visit the souvenir shop. Now about the housekeeping staff they all were so pleasant. Elizabeth and her helper did an excellent job keeping the room in a cozy state. It was nice to come back after a long day of exploring Ghana to come back to a nice clean room to relax. Finally I’d like to acknowledge the first face we saw when we arrived, and that’s Seth. You can’t missed this tall statue of a young man. But what stood out more was his welcoming smile and his prompt desire to assist us. Please give our thanks to the entire staff. Chris & Joanna Lee

The hospitality was excellent

Our rioom was air conditioned which was good. The staff were very accommodating. Arranged to get us to the port the next day.

We had to wait at the airport for our shuttle bus to arrive but at least I had organised to be collected before hand and when we walked out into the sea of taxi drivers, I said we were looking for the African Regent Hotel guy and instantly we were directed to the correct person.. So the moral is: check with the hotel beforehand re how to get there. We also bought some paintings, so beware!

Was booked there for a WESAF Sustainability school and a digital based learning symposium, both of which took place in Accra. Hot like hell, but the hotel’s AC is on point! Dope internet connection. Was so pleased by the friendly, heartwarming and helpful staff. Particularly proud of Ohemaa Elizabeth, a cleaning lady who cleaned mine and other peoples’ rooms on my floor. Friendly, jovial, hardworking lady who made me feel so welcome in Accra/Ghana. Medaase pii, Ohemaa Elizabeth! Great experience at the African Regent Hotel. The staff were all friendly, professional and accommodating. Helina, Lumy and Bernard (cleaned our room) were the best. Breakfast was plentiful and I lived the omlett station. The proximity to attractions was awesome as well. This was time we'll spent. The hotel resturant was good too. Great milkshakes and grouper. Overall, this was great value for money for 6 nights. I would recommend this hotel for first time and experienced travellers to Accra.

Excellent and Serene environment. Best location to get in and around of town.

The bed was hard.
