Ostello Bello Bagan Pool

Clean, comfortable room and bathroom. Awesome pool, and great happy hour at the tiki bar beside the pool. AC worked very well! I would definitely stay here again.

The hostel was pretty clean. The staff at the reception were friendly, helpful, and patient. They have a lot of knowledge about tourism in Bagan and were always happy to give advice or answer questions. It was also very convenient that they can help you book buses directly at the hostel, and that you can rent e-bikes. Another big plus is the atmosphere. The hostel is social, but not in an overwhelming way. It’s not loud or pushy. There are great opportunities to connect with other travelers if you want, but you can also just sit by the pool and enjoy some quiet time. I think this place is perfect both for people looking for peace and quiet and for those who want to meet others.

There wasn’t much to complain about. The only small improvement I can think of would be adding curtains to the beds, which would give a bit more privacy.

The room and the pool

The breakfast provided - fried rice was cold . I ate 4 spoons only and vomitted the whole thing out 😓

It's a good place to meet fellow travellers, very sociable. The pool is a plus. Breakfast is ok. Good location. Early check-in is possible without additional charges.Low price for dorms. They provide assistance with organizing buses, activities, food, and e bikes, but some services might be overpriced.

The staff is a bit distant, and a bit more formal, I connected better with the staff in another hostel in Yangon...but they are kind, polite and their English is quite ok! if something happens, it's sometimes difficult to get adequate support. Overall it feels that way many people in Bagan just want your money and try to take advantage, asking for very high prices or trying to manipulate you. Next time I would feel safer with the guide. I don't think it's enough to ask in the hostel because they didn't warn me about scammers. Be careful when you rent the e bike that you are aware of all the rules. I am not sure if that activity is insured. I tried the oil massage and I don't recommend it .
