The room was quite nice, the kitchen was well stocked, and a lot of useful information was provided

The building! It was terrible.

It was very close to where our cruise ship docked.

The exterior of the apartment building was very old and decrepit.

Central location that was easy to walk to/from. The host was very informative and communicative.

The building is fairly nondescript from the outside, though the room itself was quite nice. The hallways were not very well lit.

The apartment was very nice and had everything we needed. Regular sheets would have been good. The ones on the bed were too nice,

The outside location was practically scary.

The place is lovely, modern, and clean - the kitchen has everything you need, except a cutting board - so we bought one and donated it, so hopefully there is one for future stays. the internet is great and it is close to the marina - which was great for us as we had an excursion to the islands planned early morning.

Wish communication was a bit better. We needed help with an issue we ran into, ans didn't hear back from the host till it was too late. They apologized saying they had an Internet issue.

This was a very well-located apartment across from a beautiful central park. It was decorated very nicely, forming a contrast to the building itself. It was close to everything in Papeete. The owner left jams for us to try and responded well to our communication. Hairdryer was available.

The entry and hallways could use an update.

This is a beautiful apartment equipped with everything you need to stay a few days in Papeete. Located just across the road from the promenade and a short walk to the town centre, there is a supermarket a few minutes' walk away for provisions. The owners are very good at communicating everything you need to know, which is important as there is no face-to-face contact at any stage. But the instructions provided for entering the building and picking up the keys are so precise and detailed that you really cannot go wrong. I sent the owners many questions, all of which were answered promptly and comprehensively. Overall, it was a pleasure to stay here.

Nothing really, everything was very good. The only things that had initially worried me (i.e. the lack of face-to-face contact and their use of a payment provider (Payzen) that I had never heard of) turned out to be non-issues. As mentioned above, the instructions provided are so good and detailed that you really do not need to meet the owners and it turned out that Payzen is actually a major company in France and seems entirely trustworthy - there were no issues with my payment.
