Great, central location for getting around Old Town. Very comfortable beds, great couch and spacious kitchen/lounge area. Kitchen is very new and well stocked with crockery and cooking items.

It was noisy at night. There is a nearby pub that had music blaring until midnight and you could hear the patrons chatting and yelling as they stumbled down Cockburn St. It is an old building and the water pipes were also loud.

The location was PERFECT for a first timer in Edinburgh. It is near a lot of sites, and most tours end at the apartment area, so it was very convenient. Cozy vibes in the apartment. Everything required was available and everything was explained in details from the owner. Definitely going to book it again if we come back to edinburgh. 9/10. 1 point down for squeaky floors, but other than that all is perfect.

I wished the timing of confirming the booking (Paying) was two days prior, because we read the note that said pay on property, so we prepared cash, and then the owner requested online payment by email and we didn't have internet access yet because we just arrived from the airport. It would be best if it was clearer and two days at least reminder to avoid conflicts. Either ways, owner was helpful and patient with us. Finding the key was like a scavenger hunt to us XD specially with the heavy rain. It was fun.

Be prepared for loud shoutings from drunkards and frequent smashing of beer bottles. Very run down property.

the mezzanine bedroom is not so good for adults although comfortable enough. obtaining the key at the start was a bit of a nuisance as it appears I was missing part of an email - could have been me!
