Wonderful caravan, ideal location for exploring the east Neuk of Fife

Had everything we needed for a quick stay

Decor a bit dated and shame there was no WiFi! Had two teenagers very disappointed.

Hi Darshan, Thanks for you email. c but when we went inside dirty linen/bedding/towels were on the kitchen floor which were for the main bed. Unfortunately couldn't find any more so had to sleep in single beds. A couple of spare towels were available. Rubbish had been removed but still mess on floor and things left out. We placed dirty washing in main bedroom and cleaned up, etc. Apart from that, we had a lovely stay and enjoyed the park and views were amazing. Unfortunately your email has just arrived and we vacated the caravan without removing the bedding but we did remove all rubbish and cleaned utensils/caravan prior to leaving. Unfortunately i didn't take any photo's of the van when we arrived. I know we changed dates at short notice to the 14th-17th and thought someone would be in Friday morning to clean/make beds/remove washing/linen from caravan but no one came so made the best of the situation. My remarks and feedback would have been exceptional apart from this, but thanks, it was a great stay. Please get in touch if you need any more info. Regards, Michael Akrigg

The mattress was comfy and the white bedding seemed clean (but creased).

The caravan is dirty. It clearly gets a once over but there is dust, dirt and grime everywhere that isn't obvious if you're not the "living" in it. It was freezing when we arrived because every window was left open (in November), presumably to hide some of the musty smell. This meant there were flies - alive and dead - and spider webs on the ceilings. Various things are broken and the missing parts are laid nearby and have been for quite some time. The toilet is sunken into the floor so I was scared to use it. Most alarming was the brown stuff that came out of the taps when we first ran them - had to go thirsty. The cleaning cloth and tea towels that are left are badly stained and the sponges look old. We avoided using anything in the kitchen area so that we didn't have to use them to wash up. Could be so lovely but it needs some money spent on it - a serious deep clean, general maintenance and a spruce up. I am by no means a snob and don't take pleasure in writing my first bad review, I "make do" with almost anything but this was too much. I took photos intending to find an alternative and ask booking.com for a refund but we had a tight schedule and a young baby to put to bed.

Loved the location and the comfort of a little hideaway from everything.
