GBIt’s very good value for money. You text the host on the morning of arrival and they give you key code to get the key. This was for my elderly auntie and uncle so they could surprise my dad for his birthday. Would definitely book again and I’ve told other family members who travel down and usually get a hotel.
GBGBAbsolutely darling place, incredible for the price and good communication with the host. Definitely want to come back again. A short walk from the water with a great view.
Nothing to improve on, other than the floor in the bathroom was a little sticky.

USThis little place is perfectly situated for us to visit our friends for the weekend. It is also within walking distance of Portchester Castle and many little pubs and shops and a short drive into Portsmouth or Port Solent. The Snug is open and spacious inside. Very modern with extras like a nice tv with streaming services, air conditioning and heating units, and a kitchenette complete with a clothes washing machine and even an airfryer. Very private spaces including a little outdoor patio.
The bed had a very basic mattress and was not very comfortable. An upgrade, with more pillows, would make this place perfect. Fortunately there were comfy pillows in the living room to help make our 50 year old backs a little happier.

USI loved the fact that it was so private, quiet and great value for the money. I also liked how close it was to the England Coast Path, so you can go for walks/runs right next to Fareham Lake. Having TV, internet, private bath, kitchenette was great. Chris' communication was an A+ and I thank him for all the help. I can't say enough about how great The Snug was and I'd easily rate it a 20 out of 10 every time!
