Vang Vieng Misokxay Hotel

It is simple, but good value for money. The staff is really helpful and speaks good english. They organzie trips and bus rides for you. Nice hard beds!

The rooms facing the street are a bit loud at the evening, but was quiet after midnight. No separation between shower and toilet in the bathroom, so when you shower the whole bathroom is wet.

After a really horrible stay at a "high-end" spot in town, this place was a breath of fresh air. The room, location, comfort, staff, everything was lovely.

The breakfast was delicious, go for the omelet. Was lovely that it came with fruit. Reception were very helpful with local information and booking trips. The shared areas are very well kept considering how dry and dusty the town is in the dry season. Good view out of our balcony.

Because it is so central (as the name suggests) and on a busy road, it is quite noisy if your room is at the front of the hotel (think scooter and tuk tuk engines, general drunk shouting). Considering how good a job the cleaners do of keeping the floors dust free, it would have been nice to have a change of linen halfway through our 5 night stay, as by the end our towels and bedding were quite orange!

The establishment across the street played very loud music until deep into the night. Definitely needed earplugs to sleep. The breakfast area is a bit gloomy and cold in the morning.

Bedding was quite comfortable

I don’t know how this hotel has such a high review score - we were really disappointed and ending up leaving early. - The shower was not connected to the wall like in the photos and water did not get hot - The facilities were really filthy including a horribly dusty fan, very grimy bathroom bin and stained and torn towels - We weren’t provided with any toilet paper - The location was close to town but quite noisy - WiFi was poor and signal was constantly dropping in and out making wifi basically unusable - We voiced our disappointment to the staff when changing hotels and they would not refund us

You get alot for what you paid for. This is a cheap hotel, but yiu get everything you need. A room, breakfast and in the middle of the city. The peopl who works there are very friendly as well.

It could be cleaner, specially the room. The standard is pretty low, but the hotel is alos pretty cheap.
