"Stunning and quiet views over the valley from your veranda"

10.0

Wow!!! In the morning you will take your breakfast outside your room on a green veranda overlooking the whole valley. At night you will see the sun set behind the mountains. And even though you are close to the center of town, it is very quiet and away from the busy traffic on the main road. There are only 4 rooms. The breakfast is absolutely stunning with fresh fruit, good coffee and some nice thick pancakes. Very friendly owner.

"Clean room, great hospitality, delicious food"

10.0

Nice panorama view, clean rooms with nice balcony. But above all the food. Mama will cook you a dinner with excellent local food and the breakfast is also delicious if you take indonesian breakfast.

Some faculities were mentioned like TV and wifi but not available, still a very good place and we stayed there for 3 nights

"Comfortable and clean. Good beds!"

9.0

The room is comfortabel and clean. The terrace and theviews are great. Tam explained us how to walk back from Kelimutu.

There weren't 6 two persons beds in the room (this was the description :-) But the 2persons and 1 person beds were good!

"Great spot on the hill"

7.0

The view was absolutely amazing! Which was just perfect during our breakfast after a trip to Kelimutu. Also the owner and the staff were really nice and helpful.

Unfortunately there was no wifi and the pillows were a bit hard in our opinion.

"Very comfortable and attractive place to stay."

8.0

The hostess and her husband are lovely hard-working and genuine people. The rooms are very clean and there is hot water. The accommodation is situated on a hill above the town and the views from the garden are wonderful. The breakfast was delicious and generous in size.

Despite the information in the listing, there is no Wi-Fi. If you don’t have your own transport, you have to climb a stony track up to the property and this gets very muddy after rain. Watch out for the hostess’s rather tricky brother. If he invites you to a dinner cooked by one of his sisters, you will get a great home-cooked meal at a reasonable price. However his ‘tours’ and onward transport are very expensive and he keeps finding reasons to add even more to the price. You can find better and cheaper elsewhere. I know these people have to make a living, and they have been hit hard by Covid, but the goodwill of tourists will be lost if they are treated as walking wallets. But don’t let this put you off staying at Jaya Hill Garden. The rooms are exceptionally good and, in fact, much more comfortable than the extortionately priced Kelimutu Crater Eco Lodge down the road. The hosts are good and friendly people and you can always say no to the brother.

"Comfy stay and good location for My Kelimutu"

9.0

Great location for starting early for Mt Kelimutu as it only took 30 minutes in the morning. Tam is very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was tasty (banana pancakes, fruit and coffee). Great value for money. It's quite basic but thats all we wanted :)

The road up to the property is a bit rough, so be careful if arriving on your own scooter. We'd recommended using the road by the Rainbow Cafe, not the other one! No AC but the room was cool enough anyway

"Great view and breakfast"

10.0

Great view and big tasty breakfast with a lot of many kinds of fruits.

Difficult to get to the main road down.. Have to go through the Mahakali homestay which have crazy steps.. Siphon in the bathroom not connected to the wall, so all water from the wastafel drops to the floor.

"Quite place with great breakfast"

10.0

Big clean rooms with even bigger bathroom. Spacious terrace with nice view down the valley. Beds with mosquito nets, (you definitely need it in Moni!) Super nice owner ! Organized scooters for our trip to Kelimutu, proposed a buffet style dinner for only 75k (more food that we could eat!). Helped to organize our onward transport to Maumere. Best and largest breakfast in Flores so far.

Towels would be a plus. Maybe Update the information regarding WiFi. There is NO WiFi. But Kristian Homestay in Bajawa warned us there is no Wi-Fi in Moni at all (so we where prepared and it's the same anywhere else in Moni). 4G cell phone signal us excellent though.
