The Holford Arms

We stayed here whilst going to see Snow Patrol at Westonbirt. This pub is amazing and totally geared up to around the concerts all weekend. Did taxi lifts too & from plus big buffet breakfast for everyone in the pub & camping. Great place run by lovely people

Spacious and with some outdoor space (wooden patio). Nice surroundings (lots of edible plants within grounds-fruit trees and bushes). Close to arboretum. Good food in the pub and friendly service

Bad odour in bathroom, large stain on the wall (like someone thrown a drink on the wall)

Extremely friendly staff, exceptional food, very large grounds and very close to Badminton.

No wardrobe in room only a chest of draws, but that’s fine for a short stay.

The only negatives were the poor wifi and the door to our chalet was really difficult to open and close.

Sketchy internet and phone signal

The pub inside was perfect, warm and cosy atmosphere, friendly staff and great food. We stayed in one of the cabins with our dog, which was a 2 minute walk to the pub. The cabin was almost perfect for a short weekend break, it had everything in there, tea/coffee making facilities, cosy bed and sofa to chill on, and was in a peaceful location. I would only recommend to anyone travelling with a dog to perhaps bring a cooler with them. We feed our dog raw food and had thought there would be a fridge but unfortunately there wasn’t! Luckily I had packed it well with ice packs and only lost the last days food as it got too warm! But that was on me not the establishment. It would have been perfect if there was a space to prepare food on, with some cutlery and crockery. We don’t like eating out all the time, so being able to prepare a sandwich or salad would have made the accommodation even better, but that’s just me being picky. We loved it so much I was looking for a weekend we could come back, unfortunately it was all booked up until the end of the year!! Shows how lovely it is! We will definitely come back though. It’s also in a great location, 10 mins if that from Tetbury town which is lovely. Close to many national parks where we took our dog for nice long walks. It was such a great location to go exploring. We really did enjoy our stay. And our dog definitely loved it and looks forward to returning.
