The Holford Arms

Evening meal and breakfast were fantastic. The food quality and presentation was high standard. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Site was nice & quiet with lots of wildlife around and full of fruit trees. Bell tents and toilet block were very clean and had everything you needed. Tents are within their own individual private areas. Bar has a slight surf shack vibe to the style which was nice. A really comfortable stay did not feel like we were laid in tents in those beds. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend for a chilled glamping trip.

Nothing we didn’t like and It didn’t affect our stay but sad to see one poly tunnel had been totally destroyed (by bad weather it looked like) and the other one not being worked. It would be lovely to see them full of veg produce growing that could be used in the restaurant.

Lovely interior, great room. Good size cups in the bedroom. Polite welcoming and helpful staff Excellent food in the restaurant and breakfast. Lovely grounds to wander through.

Lacks kerb appeal, car park needs tidying up.

Location was good, staff were friendly and the place has character.

Tv a little small for today’s way. Front bedroom was a bit noisy with traffic but understand may not be able to upgrade windows.

Overpriced at over £150 a night for a bell tent. Showers so unclean we couldn’t use them. Kettle in tent did not work. Breakfast not provided (although it was included in price) had to leave without even a coffee.

A peaceful property hence my return visit. My stay was to attend a festival at Westonbirt and travel to the event was provided which was much appreciated.

Hot breakfast was provided which my friend thoroughly enjoyed but for those who prefer a lighter option more choice for a continental breakfast would have suited me better especially cereal and fruit. Price was much higher than expected but during a festival week I understand the increase. I left my phone charger but regrettably this was not found when I contacted them.

The Holford Arms is in a good location for access to Westonbirt Arboretum. The campsite is set in an orchard and the chalet in a pretty location at the back of the campsite. Small veranda with basic chairs.

The chalet looked lovely in the photos but in reality the furnishings were tired - especially the curtains and seating area. The breakfast was OK.

Bathroom lighting poor Basic amenities although comfortable and clean Breakfast served in a barn, great when you’re camping but not when you are paying as much as we did(to qualify, we accept that surge pricing for a local event will have had an impact)
