The Monty Boston

Absolutely fantastic location right next to the subway and the Boston Common. Locations on the red line (Freedom Trail) right across the street! Very clean and high end finishes. Very comfortable! App for door/elevator entrance was easy to use. Rooftop terrace is awesome!

The only consideration is price; however, it has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, so it is perfect and still economical if traveling with a group of friends or family. There was 5 of us, so the cost per person was actually cheaper than some of the surrounding hotels with much more space and amenities.

Exactly as described. Plenty of room and privacy for a group of 6.

Construction near the front of the building allowed some folks to loiter in scaffolding but we did see a security guard a few times which helped us feel safe.

Great spot once you’re inside the apartment

Real safety concerns with drug addicts and dealers blocking entry. The owner did hire an armed security guard but as soon as they left it was back to normal. Really unsafe with children.

The view was spectacular, the location was great, the facilities were top notch, the apartment spacious and clean, the communication was friendly and easy. The access to the apartment was made so easy. I highly recommend The Monty.

There was absolutely nothing to be unhappy about.

Brilliant apartment that is like new and has a great view of the state house and common. Communication was excellent. The downside is the area. I hadn’t realised just how bad things had become around the park street T on tremor - it’s a sea of drug dealing, mental illness, homelessness, and police activity. That is a big downer for an otherwise brilliant property.

beautiful apartment in the heart of boston. great communication; the only thing to be aware of is the area is not great. outside the door were junkies shooting up and other homeless people literally right in front of the entrance. We were 6 guys traveling together, but with a family it maybe wise to be careful. Otherwise inside the apartment it was amazing.

Very spacious, great view, excellent access to the commons.

Needed window coverings at the fire escape and 3rd (back) bedroom. The entrance and address number was blocked from view by construction making it hard to find. The bathroom lighting was not conducive to female travelers and getting ready. Lights over the sink and vanity would have been helpful.

It is a huge space with great light and spectacular views. The beds are luxurious and comfortable; the kitchen is sleek and stylish with high-end appliances, and the TV streaming is excellent and easy to use. The place is sparkling clean. We loved the private entrance from the elevator to the living space. The location is fantastic for sightseeing in Boston and for walking the Common.

Communication with the manager and Butterfly App staff felt sporadic and frustrating. While the location is unbeatable for sightseeing in Boston and shopping in the pedestrian area behind the building, we had to contend with the two blocks directly in front of the condo (including the condo doorway) being periodically full of people doing drugs, nodding out, fighting, urinating/vomiting in public, etc. At certain times of the afternoon/evening, it is not a great experience for children. We never felt unsafe, but I would advise that groups with kids be forewarned. The back bedroom had outlets that had not been correctly installed (could not insert a plug) and a sliding closet door that didn't work.

A very high quality, new apartment with a huge amount of space in the living area, and good space in all other rooms. Lovely roof top terrace (which we didnt use often) and excellent views of the park (Boston Common).

There were a couple of amenities missing from the kitchen (toaster / microwave), and although it worked fine, the remote app locking of the doors and lift is a little bit cumbersome. Parking is NOT included in the price, so I would recommend not having a car. Street level of the building next door is being redeveloped and so is not the most welcoming / does not match the quality of the interior.
